When Harry gets home, as Isabella watches TV he makes sure his mom still lives in the same childhood home he grew up in. Thankfully she does, and he walks back out to make dinner. He wonders whether or not he should call in advance.
He doesn't want her to say no over the phone, it would break his heart. He decides they will just show up. It will be harder for his mom to stay mad at him in front of her granddaughter. He slides over a bowl of pasta and Isabella runs over.
"How was your day angel?"
He asks and she smiles.
"We got to paint on our hands and pressed them on paper."
"Finger painting?"
"Yeah."
She says and he nods, but he notices how quiet she seems to be.
"You seem a little quiet today...are you ok?"
She sighs a little bit before turning to Harry.
"A boy made fun of me for not having a mommy."
She says and Harry pauses before running his hand through her hair.
"What did he say?"
"He told me that I'm weird for not having a mommy."
She says and Harry shakes his head.
"That doesn't make you weird, because it's not your fault she's not here."
Harry says, but her frown doesn't fade.
"Come here..."
He says lifting her onto his lap.
"Is this the same boy that made fun of your drawing?"
She nods and he sighs, hating seeing her so sad.
"All boys are buttheads."
He says and she giggles a little bit.
"What about you?"
"Well...when we get older, some of us stop being so mean."
He says and she smiles.
"Don't let his words get to you. He's just being a bully."
Harry says, tucking her hair behind her ear.
"Bully's make fun of people because they are upset at themselves, or something they can't control. So they take it out on others."
Harry says and Isabella nods.
"But that doesn't give them an excuse to be mean. Don't be mean to other people just because you're sad."
"Treat people with kindness?"
"Always."
He says, kissing her forehead and she smiles.
"Feel better?"
"Yes...but I'm still kind of sad."
"What can I do to cheer you up?"
"Cupcake?"
She asks and he laughs.
"I fell for that one."
He says and she giggles, poking his dimple. They quickly take the train before it gets too late and cold out, and they get two cupcakes, before going back home and eating them.
"You better not be up all night because of the sugar."
He says and she giggles, and he already knows she'll be bouncing off the walls. 20 minutes later, he is chasing her around the couch to try and put her to bed.

Moving On [H.S]
FanficJust two people learning to let go of the past and move on. This story is just fiction, it has nothing to do with any of the people in the cast. It is purely made up :) *I will be going back and editing, checking on spelling mistakes and whatnot*
