Keith almost let herself cry freely if she did not control her emotions while helping Steve to wear special clothes as well as preparing weapons in the form of several daggers and swords. Glanced around at the group of bodyguards tussling with other supplies of armor, such as bows and arrows.
"Steve, take care of yourself."
"Yes, Young Lady."
"Promise me!"
"Of course. I will do my best." Not to forget, Steve continued to take the time to kiss Keith on her forehead at the last second he was called to fill the line.
Wiping her cheek again, Keith tried to calm herself by rubbing her chest, clamping Roselie's idle hand by her side. "Mom, will Steve be all right?"
"Young Steve was involved in safe formation in the war 300 years ago. Just because this time he's going to lead the vanguard with your father, I feel it deserves to be anxious," she said, making Keith's mind run wild. Mother hastily added. "Not. It's not like that, honey. It's not that Mom doesn't trust them. Just ... a little worried. I still believe they can get through it well."
"Thank you for saying that, Mom," softly Keith leaning her head on her mother-in-law's shoulder still with swollen eyes.
"Really, Mother no longer messes about caste like your father. I just want my husband and son to come back safely. That's all," added Roselie, making Keith so interested in nodding her head and responding to her immense approval.
The two of them had left a glance at their residence before leaving for the center of the war. Roselie is very sad to remember her two sons who were also forced to leave in the palace with the uncertainty of the fate of their father and the eldest. It was her two sons who were still nine, twins Ben and Terry.
"What did the twins do, Mom?" said Keith lightly, intent on reducing the level of tension between the two.
"I don't know? Maybe sleep? Played? Or whining looking for Mother and Keith?" Mother teased, because the twins really like spending time playing with Keith who really likes children. Especially at the age of the twins now, it feels like Keith is reminiscing—opening old memories and keeping them warm in her memory.
The moment when Keith called out the names of his two sisters-in-law. "Ben! Terry!" Which includes the intentions and hidden feelings; "Joe!"
Joe, 8 years ago, often ran around laughing so happily. Their family loves to visit Everland on holidays and celebrate birthdays with great fanfare.
Gazing at the sadness of the street, Keith was dumbfounded as she contemplated all the same old stories that opened up all her old wounds.
