This time, he woke first. 10:08am. Shit. He rubbed his eyes, brushing Safiya's hair off her face in the process. She had moved slightly and he looked down at her sleeping form. Her eyes fluttered gently but stayed closed. He pressed a kiss to the top of her head, wishing he could stay here forever. Her eyes slowly opened, exhaling a sound that might have been 'Morning 2.0' and he gave a breathy chuckle.
"Morning. How are you feeling?"
Safiya groaned, rolling off him and onto her back. "What time is it?"
"10am."
She rubbed her eyes and shuffled back over to his side. "I'm good. How are you?"
His arm came around her as he replied, "Yeah, I'm good too. How did you sleep?"
"Surprisingly well," she admitted. "You?"
"My sleep was good too," he said pushing another absentminded kiss to her forehead.
"Mmmmm." Was her response, until asking Logan to remind her where the bathroom was. She came back to find him lying on his stomach on the bed, holding his phone, wearing his boxers. Giving herself a small smile, she clambered up on top of him, kissing the top of his back as she lay down. He chuckled quietly, "you alright there?"
"Yeah, I'm good thanks," came the muffled reply. "You?"
"Yeah, I'm good too, thanks," he smiled. "Oh hey! You don't happen to have your meds with you, do you?" he remembered.
She got up, sitting on the end of the bed, "why...?" she asked warily.
"Because I remember you saying that you need them, and if you don't take them you get withdrawals and shit." He shrugged, sitting up.
She smiled at him and he released the breath he didn't know he was holding. "Yup, I chucked some in my jeans the other day and I forgot to take them out. Why's that?"
"Because, if you didn't have them, I would have to take you home, and I'm not really ready for that," he answered, kissing her. "Unless you want to go home!" he added hastily.
She kissed him again, "I don't really want to go home yet either."
He gave a relieved sigh.
"Got anything to eat?" She asked, fishing around in the pockets of her jeans.
He frowned, "not really. Just like some crackers. Do they need to be taken with food?"
She shrugged. "Not really, just easier taking them with food then plain water. Sometimes the capsules stick to my throat."
He shuddered, passing her the crackers. She smiled at him as she swallowed the pills.
They spend the whole day in bed in each other's arms, watching Netflix. They laughed, joked and chatted away, until later that evening.
"Well, I'm pretty sure you have work at an ungodly hour, and I have to go home to take the rest of my meds and at least attempt to get some sleep," Safiya sighed.
Logan groaned. "At least stay till dinner, then I can take you home."
"You don't have any food left," she giggled.
"Yeah, but I do have money," he said grabbing her by the waist as she moved to stand up.
"I can't let you buy me more food. I do have SOME food at home, you know." She let him pull her back to stand in between his legs as he sat on the end of the bed.
