The door led to a room of gold and unimaginable treasures that were placed at the sides of the room reaching all the way to the ceiling. Grim walked to one side of the room and started to fill up his pockets with gold coins and small gems.
While he was filling up his pockets he spotted someone doing the same thing.
"Hey, you there!" Grim shouted.
The man stopped and the spikes on his back stood up. He spun around and hid some kind of bag behind him.
"Ah, a customer," the man said in a surprised, rusty voice.
Grim looked at him in disgust, "ugh. What on earth are you doing here, Nixon?"
Nixon had a humanoid body with robotic limbs, and a metallic head with one optical lens for an eye.
"I just came to get the tax money," said Nixon, "if you're not here to buy something then get out of my sight, Dephamon."
He spun back around and continued collecting money.
Grim shook his head in disappointment, "tsk, tsk, tsk. Now is that how you treat a loyal customer? I would like to purchase some food if you don't mind."
Nixon spun back around and said, "hmm, ten coins then."
Grim gave him the gold coins and Nixon gave him some food.
"Now how about some explosives? I still got some money leftover," said Grim.
Nixon stopped and said, "I don't think so. Any mortal needs I sell for coins, but any other item can be traded." He quickly looked at Sacred Cross sword Grim had on his back, "and I think we can make an offer."
"No way merchant, this is my cousin Chaos's sword and I'm not looking forward to trading it," Grim said.
"I see," said Nixon, "perhaps we can make a deal with neither trade nor cost".
Grim looks at him in confusion, "like what?" He said.
Nixon had a big smirk on his expressionless face. "How about I join you on your little journey in this area and if I find what i want, I'll give you my most expensive bombs, for free," said Nixon.
Grim paused for a second to think. Finally he said, "argh, fine. You can join."
"Excellent," Nixon said as he turned around, continuing to collect coins. Without turning around he said, "move along now Dephamon, I'll catch up later".
Grim looked at the map and it showed an exit out of this room but when he looked around the only exit he can see is the door he entered through. He looked around again and noticed a thick wire in the room heading into an opening higher up. He jumped onto the wire and walked on it all the way up to the opening. After he entered into the next room he spotted two creatures that looked exactly like the one that attacked him earlier.
He quickly hid behind a copper wired tree and poked his head out to see what they were doing. The two Viruses seemed to be arguing over something. Eventually they left the room to the door on the right.
Grim hid back behind the tree and a robotic woman popped right in front of him, shocked him, and pushed him really hard crashing through the wired tree.
He fell down hard on the metallic floor. He looked up and saw the robotic woman come floating towards him at high speed. He quickly grabbed the clip-on skull, transformed it into his scythe and blocked the Glitch's saw blade hand. The force between them was incredibly strong as both were struggling.
The Glitch opened her mouth and out came a double tipped laser cannon. Right before she was about to fire, Grim swiftly pulled out Bloody Maria and rapidly fired into her face.
The pain distracted her so he was able to push her off him and stand up. While still holding her face, the Glitch revved up her saw blade and charged at him once more.
He was ready this time, but before he could strike, a voice yelled, "FORT!" As a big hammer swung right into the Glitch destroying her into a million pieces.
Grim glared at Nixon who was holding the hammer and said, "what the hell man? I had it under control."
"Oh so, you totally had it under control when she pinned you to the ground?" Said Nixon.
Grim looked at the hammer which almost had the same resemblance as Mavrock's, "what's that you got there?" He asked.
"Huh? Oh, this is what Mavrock sent you as a little gift but, I think I will hold onto this for a while," Nixon said still hold the hammer in his robotic hands. Grim transformed his scythe back into a skull and clipped it on his belt.
"Come on, I saw some of those Viruses head to the door on the right," he said.
They walked up to the door and turned the handle. It didn't budge. Wires sprouted all around the door creating a keyhole in the centre of it.
"Locked," said Grim, "we need to get a key."
"Maybe the key is in the door on the left," Nixon said heading towards the other door.
"There is, but I have an idea to get in without a key," Grim ran up to Nixon, quickly swiped the hammer out of his hands and swung it hard into the door, blowing it off it's hinges.
"Impressive," said Nixon as Grim returned the hammer.
They walked in and slight horror was showing in their eyes. There were Viruses and Glitches hanging on a conveyor belt with robotic arms repairing them as they moved along.
"Come closer you two, I-I-I-I have been expecting YOU-you-you," something said with mixed voices and accents in a glitchy tone in the next room.
They walked into a large dome room with green LED lights shining through the creases of the hexagonal pattern on the dome walls. In the centre of the room was a destroyed robot, dangling from the ceiling by wires.
"I am the Master Computer-ter-ter-ter," it said.
"Really," said Grim with a surprised look, "well in that case, can you tell me where the Doors of Death are?"
The Master Computer glanced at him and chuckled, "w-w-why should I listen to you, child of D-d-d-d-d-d-eath. I am hooked up to ALL of this pathetic little world-ld's technology, I have seen what yo-o-ou've done and who've you KILLed. I-i-in fact, since you're here-re. I should s-send a l-l-l-little message to the Demon Lord, letting him know he mi-s-sed a Dephamon-mon."
A spark surged through one of the wires and headed across the room. Grim brought out the Host Vase and chucked some ash on the ground. A ghostly figure of himself rose from the ground and looked at him.
"Stop that message before it reaches the Demon Lord." Ordered Grim
It nodded and ran after the surge in the wire. The sound of latches unlocking echoed through the dome room as a stampede of Viruses and Glitches came out of the repair room.
The Master Computer lifted itself up higher and said, "MAKE sure their flesh and b-b-bones are ripped off their bodies".
Grim and Nixon brought out their weapons and stood back to back to each other as Viruses and Glitches surrounded them.
"What's the plan?" Said Nixon.
"You'll bash out these minions while I go after their master," Grim said as he ran and slashed at the robots to clear a path.
As soon as he left, Nixon swung his hammer hitting all the robots that attempted to jump on him.
Grim was closing in on the Master Computer and threw his scythe at the wires attached to it, chopping some down. The scythe returned to him as he leaped onto the rest of the robots' heads and walked on them as he was transforming his scythe into a whip. He jumped off of one of the heads, threw the whip which hooked onto the Master Computer, pulled on the whip making the wires rip away from it's body and round-house kicked it off of the whip's hook.
The Master Computer landed hard on the hexagonal patterned floor and started short circuiting.
Grim picked it up by the neck with raging fire in his eyes and said, "tell me where the doors are. NOW!"
"O-oh, I'm n-not fin-shed w-th YOU you you," the Master Computer said.
Wires came down with spare parts and started fusing them to the Master Computer.
After they were done it punched Grim in the stomach loosening his grip on it's neck and sent him flying into Nixon.
They crashed into each other and Nixon's hammer was flung high into the air.
The Master Computer slowly walked towards them saying, "y-u two are n-no mat- for me-e-e, pre-PARE t-o suf-er by the hands of t-t-t-techn-o-log-y-y-y!"
Grim quickly placed a portal underneath his feet and one over the flying hammer. He fell into the portal, dropped out of the other one, grabbed the hammer on it's handle and crushed the Master Computer with it as he descended back down.
The Computer's glowing red eye died out and all of the robots powered off onto the floor.
"Well that went well," said Grim putting the hammer into his pocket.
Nixon was knelt down near the Master Computer, rummaging through it's brain until he lifted a small, little chip.
"Ah, finally," he said placing the chip inside the back of his head.
He walked up to Grim and said, "well, I got what I wanted so, as I promised, here are the expensive bombs, no charge."
He handed the bombs to Grim, then continued, "and don't worry, the Doors of Death are located in an underwater palace that is guarded by an ugly beast. To get past it, you must collect a fresh egg off of Arach(nita)'s chest, he-she's at the Forbidden Lands of Europe".
"Thanks," said Grim.
Nixon walked away but stopped and spun around, "oh, and one more thing. Remember to blow this place up before you leave," he said fading away into thin air.Grim walked out of the Metallic Dome and it exploded behind him. He leapt onto Dread's back as Sorrow cawed over his head.
"Come on Dread, off to the Forbidden Land," he said, and they left the States towards Europe.
