Five: Relationship

The next day.

I woke up from my bed.

and head to the bathroom, do whatever necessary and dressed up.
I went down to the kitchen.

I saw Yeonjun was sitting on the dining room.
He was eating his breakfast and acted like nothing happened.

The Nanny gave me my breakfast. I ate it and after I ate it, I took my bag and as I was about to step out.

Yeonjun called my name.
'Y/n'
I stopped my tracks and turned back, he cleared his throats and said, 'Let's go together.'

I simply nodded, and I started thinking, 'Strange, What's with him today?'

Then we headed towards the same car and we were on our way to school.

Meanwhile, Yeonjun sat beside me in the car and apologized.
'Y/n, I'm really sorry about the thing that happened the last time. I'm really sorry for hurting your feelings, and sorry I couldn't be a good brother to you.'

I sighed, and gave a slight smile, and said 'it's okay Oppa.'

'Are we good now?' he asked me with a smile on his face.
That was the first time he gave me a smile after so many years.
I smiled back at him and nodded.

He patted my head then put my head on his shoulder and held my hands tightly then softly said, 'Let's be on good terms like this forever, y/n-ah.'

I smiled and responded,'Thank you Yeonjun Oppa.'

Then we reached school.

TXT greeted both of us, 'Good morning.'

I bowed at them and went to my classroom.

Gyuri was absent today.
So during the lunch break, I decided to go to the library alone.
I took some books and sat somewhere in the corner alone.

As I was reading, I saw a familiar person standing in front of me.

It was Soobin.
'Hey y/n, what ya readin?' he asked me with a smile on his face.
'Just some fantasy books', I replied with a weak smile.
'You love reading fantasy books?.' He asked me again.
I nodded and replied, 'they have happy endings and I love happy endings.'
Soobin suddenly cupped my face and asked, 'Wanna go somewhere?'

Before I asked him, 'where?'
He intertwined his hands with mine and ran to a place.

The moment he held my hand, my whole world kept on flipping. My cheeks started heating up, I couldn't help but smile.

After we reach, I took a deep breathe.

I slowly stood up and started enjoying the view. I can see the whole city, busy streets, people were going up-down. My eyes widened as I was enjoying the view and I felt so relaxed.

'Enjoying the view?', soobin asked me.

I forgot about Soobin because it was my first time seeing such a beautiful sight.

'Uh-Oh, Oh.. Yeah Yeah, Thank you so much Soobin. It's so beautiful.' I thanked him as I smiled at him.

This is the first time, I skipped my classes, spending time with someone I know only for a week or two, but fell in love with. Soobin makes me feel safe and comfortable.

'Y/n, how are things going on with your brother?' He asked me.
'Oh, he apologized me this morning, and we are doing pretty much good now' I responded.

I felt Soobin was staring at me, but when I look at him. He suddenly shifted his gaze.

I laughed at his sudden behaviour, but it was cute.

'What's funny?' he asked me seriously.

'nothing, just the way you- nevermind' I replied.

He held my hand and look at me straight into my eyes.
I gulped and ask, 'Wha-what?'

He tilted his head and then asked, 'Do you like me?'
'Wh-wha-what?' I started coughing.
'are you crazy? You're my brother's friend, how can I even-'

He cut me off by saying, 'But I think I like you.'

I felt the urge to say that 'I like him too' but I just cannot.
I stepped back and said;'Don't Soobin, don't like me, because you'll end up hating me one day, besides there are prettier girls, than me and I'm unlike those girls, I might not be able to give you what you want.'

I felt my tears rolling down, so I turned back, I hated myself, hated myself for being sick, hated myself for not having my parents, hated myself to accept the fact that I will die soon.

Until, Soobin hugged me from the back. He whispered, 'that's okay, I still like you as you are, I know you have problems with your heart but we can fight this together. I know we don't know each other very well, and it's like very fast for me to grow my feelings for you, but I'm sure I like you and I want to be with you. But one day you might hate me even more. But I'll fix it before that happens. So please, be with me.'

I turned and hugged him back.

But little did he know, that y/n is fighting with Leukemia and only have a short period of time together.

'Okay, Soobin. I'll be with you.' I replied.

He smiled, his dimples popped up and hugged me tighter.

Then later at the evening as we walked home.

He walked me home and hugged me and said goodbye.

I waved him and told him, 'Be safe on your way back home.'

Then I went inside.

I saw Yeonjun sitting in the hall.

'You're back?' He asked.
'Ye-yeah!' I responded.

'Where have you been?' he asked me again.
'I was outside with Soobin just had a few talks.' I smiled and replied then I went to my room and plopped on my bed.

'Did I just have a b-boyfriend? Did Soobin actually confessed to me? Ahhhhh' I talked to myself and I smiled the whole time.

Little did y/n know someone was outside listening.
