I felt woozy.
"Wait, Lex. They responded to one of your tweets, not the video," he nervously responded.
"Still Oz!" I screamed and did a little happy dance. I raced over to the computer to see what tweet they responded to. "I don't remember tweeting this," I tilted my head and narrowed my eyes. It was a tweet with pictures of me in the studio and the caption said, 'Am I 5sos yet?'
Their response was, 'hell ya mate, keep going!' I turned to Oz.
"Oz. What did I tell you about tweeting from my account?" I gave him a pointed look and cross my arms. Then reality hit and I started screaming and crying. 5 Seconds of Summer just tweeted me. And called me MATE. Go me. I wiped my eyes and sighed.
"Well, now I must go see my mother. Love you, Z. No more tweeting from my account or sending my ep, okay?" He went to protest then stopped and nodded. I smiled and ran out to my car.
It had been a lot later than I thought and I prayed Mom found the note I left and remembered I was recording today. Her memory has been a little on the bad side ever since... that day. I shook my head to rid myself of the images and started my car. I turned on 5sos and started on my traffic filled drive home.

When I got home, I put the flowers I got for my mom in a nice vase on the table. I looked around for her, and found her outside on the deck. She had a book in her hand and a glass of water next to her.
"Hey Mom," I carefully said, trying not to scare her. She put the book down and looked at me.
"Hey Lex, where have you been?" She smiled. I walked over to her and sat next to her.
"I was recording with Oz, remember?" I asked. She looked up for a moment with a look of thought on her beautiful face, then remembrance covers her features.
"I knew something big was finally happening. My baby girl recorded her first ep today. How did it go?" She asked, excited like a little puppy.
"I'll tell you after we cook dinner. I know you're starving and it will take a while to cook," I told her and went to help her. She slapped my hand playfully and I put mine up in surrender. I walked inside, leaving the door open so that it would be easier for her to get inside.
I went to our medium sized kitchen and started pulling out the ingredients for my chicken.
I turned on the jams and the oven. A cook off was about to go down.
After I put my food in the oven and prepair the sides, I go to set the table for me, Mom, Oz and Mom's other friend, Beth. Beth and Oz were always are cook off judges. They didn't know who's food was who's. They would come in and there would be two plates of the same main ingredients sat there. They would taste each and vote on which one wins. The loser has to do the winner's chores for a week.
We did these cook offs about once or twice a month, and they were my favorite thing to do.

Oz and Beth had finally arrived, and both dishes were in place. I made a baked chicken breast marinaded in a special teriyaki sauce with a side of stir fried veggies, and some rice. Mom on the other hand made fried-chicken breasts with corn and homemade french fries, which were to die for.

Me and my mom stood in the kitchen while the 'judges' judged our food so we wouldn't cheat or hear what they were saying. I loved my mom, very dearly, but she was goin' down. She had the evil look on her face telling me we were thinking the same thing.
Oz called us in and the winner's plate was sat on the little golden-painted box in the middle of our table. My dad had made it for these things since it was such fun compition. The plate had a rag over it and Beth smiled as she tore the rag away. Undreneath was ky plate. I did a happy dance and ran to hug Oz and Beth. No chores meant that I could spend more time at the studio this week, and hopefully find a band. Mom laughed and we all sat at the table eating dinner.
"So, Oz. What happened today at the studio? Lex over here has yet to inform me," she teased. I blushed. Oops guess I forgot to fill her in.
Oz laughed along with my mother when they saw my face.
"Well, Lex recorded some of her ep vocals and some instrumental. She did an original song that you'll have to hear. I sent the song to a few record companies and bands since it was the only one finished and it was so raw. You will die when you hear it, Sarah. It was so heart clenching and beautiful. I'm very pround. Oh! Also, 5 Seconds of Summer tweeted your daughter and she cried," he sent a smirk in my way. I rolled my eyes. She already knew I was a fan girl. I didn't choose the fangirl life. The fangirl life chose me.
"I can't wait to hear it. I bet those record labels will try to sign you ASAP, before you're gone. What bands did you send the song to Oz dear?" My mom asked and shot him a knowing glance. I didn't ask this. Why didn't I already ask this??
"5 Seconds of Summer, duh, All Time Low, and another one, but they're not big yet. I'm just lucky that I know 5sos' manager and that he gave me their email and Alex's from All Time Low. You better count your lucky stars, Alexis," ge teased me more. My eyes were wide. Wow. I have the best manager. Good thing he spent that time in Australia or where ever their manager was from. Oz has been everywhere so there's no telling. I mean I guess I could Google it, but nah.
We spent the next two hours joking about what we're going to do when I'm famous and rolling in dough. Beth and Oz head out after some cake Mom made earlier. It was almost 10 o'clock, so I helped clear the table and wash the dishes, so we could hit the hay faster.
"Night Mama. I love you," I leaned down to hug her. She huged me back and rolled to her room. I watched her and thought of how different it would be if my mother, my number one supporter, wasn't in a wheelchair, if she wasn't paralyzed from the waist down.
