As soon as she opened her eyes, a bright light flashed in front of them.

Getting up wouldn't had been a hassle if she currently didn't had a pounding headache at the moment. Finally managing to sit up, Eliza looked around from the bed she had been previously laying on to find herself in a unknown room.

'Was I kidnapped?' She thought.

But the room looked too lavish for a captor to put their victim in. The room had wooden flooring as well as large queen sized bed covered in soft cotton sheets. The maroon ceiling and black walls seemed to clash with each other. The room had also been bathed in sunlight, a result of the open curtains.

Where was she? That was the question repeating in her head.

'Wait, was the world always this small?'

Looking around, everything was higher than it was normally.

Eliza accidentally looked in the mirror to find not herself but someone else. A little girl, with black hair cut into a bob, large strikingly blue eyes in a kids night dress.

This kid, in her eyes, was adorable. But why was she moving at the same speed as she was.

Eliza raised her hand, so did the girl in the mirror. She then brought it down and poked her cheek with it. The reflection followed her actions and poked its cheek as well.

Her eyes widened as she started trembling.

Why?

It wouldn't take a genius to realise that the reflection was actually her. This wasn't a dream because she felt the pain when her legs gave out under her and she landed on her butt.

"Hello dear soul"

Eliza sharply turned around as she saw a wolf. But the wolf didn't seem real. It seemed translucent.

Weird, but right now she was in too much shock to be surprised at this.

"W-who are you?" Eliza internally screamed at herself for stuttering.

"No need to be nervous, my dear. My name is Lola, a spirit from the underworld."

Spirit? Underworld? What the hell did all this mean?

"What?" Her voice came out softer than she wanted it to.

"Well, This all might be confusing for you but let me explain. You, my dear, are in another world. You have taken the body pf a girl named Sandra Delton. All you need to do is make sure to live out your life as you won't get a second chance again."

"Wait, What world do you mean? Why can't I just go back and what the hell do you mean with a second chance?" Eliza or now Sandra asked.

"Looks like you don't remember do you?"

Sandra shook her head.

"The orphanage you lived at caught fire, and you, along with many other died. Your soul was a lucky one, to have the chance to be reincarnated and keep your memories. I was sent to explain all of this to you. So farewell, young one"

"Wait!" Sandra called out but the spirit was already gone.

A few minutes of silence went by as Sandra tried to figure out her thoughts. Did she really had to accept her fate.

'The Orphanage' She thought sadly 'Did it really burn down.'

In her life- or past life, she was never really close to anyone there. It wasn't like everyone hated her, no it was actually the opposite. Everyone was fairly pleasant to her, but she could never really make a long lasting relationship with anyone since they would all be adopted at some point. All of them but her.

Sandra shed a few tears before standing up. She needed to come in terms with the situation at hand.

'I must cherish this life as much as possible!" she thought. And to do that, she needed to have fun without any rules and regulations.

But before that, she also needed to adjust to this girls life. And she could only do that by getting first hand experience.

Getting ready was fairly easy, but the most difficult part was to not stare at every single part of the room. Her orphanage was financially stable but this was on whole another level. There was even a chandelier on the ceiling for goodness sake.

After finally being done, Sandra came out of the room and went downstairs. The hallway towards the living was long and filled with paintings. The walls were painted a light blue with designs decorating it in white.

She could hear noises as soon as she reached the living room.

'Ok just act natural' She told herself

But having no parents her entire life, she didn't knew how to be natural.

As she was entering, it felt like she was in a battle field with no weapons.

"Hey honey!" A woman who looked like she was in her early thirties greeted her as soon as they made eye contact. The woman had long black hair and warm hazel eyes. She was clearly her supposed mother.

"Morning" Sandra replied.

'Better keep it short and simple'

Eyy, there's our champ! Good morning!" A man said as he entered the room and sat at the table.

'And heres the dad.'

His blonde hair looked as if he tried a lot to flatten them but failed. Miserably.

"Hey, Morning to you too"

He frowned.

"Looks like our little princess isn't as energetic as usual. Had a rough time sleeping last night?" The man asked

'Oh god-' "Uh... yeah, something like that."

"Well then cheer up, we are going to the carnival today!" He announced.

Carnival? Sandra had never been to a carnival in her past life, but she had heard many stories from school. It was said to have a circus as well as many rides available. Some even had wax museum in which real looking wax figures were set for others to see.

"Wait, a carnival? I would love to go!" She said excitedly. The excitement in her voice was real and this made the worry of the couple go away.

"Well, then, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Mr. Delton said.

'Perhaps this life would be much better' Sandra thought as she sat in the car.
