Unimpressive as what she seemed, she couldn't hold her aggravation about her family's decisions for her. Yes, it's still about them and she'll never stop going on about it. Even until the next Rune Wars happens. She meant it but with no conviction at least.

She took a glance at her back, hoping she wasn't followed but she guessed fate would never do her favor this time. He was still following her but a few feet away from her.

"Unbelievable, I asked you nicely to leave me alone and you're still here. Persistent prick." Luxanna muttered the last two words.

"Woah, language milady."

"And? I will say whatever I want and you have no right to complain about it. How about you vanish away from my presence right now? Isn't that hard to understand?" She pleaded then turned her head away.  "This is so ridiculous. At least they should've hired a more capable guard." She murmured.

Though she didn't mean that and quite felt bad about it. Due to her being unable to contain everything that's been troubling her mind for such a long time now, she might have lose her integrity.

"Just... Just leave me alone." She trailed off.

Ezreal heard all of that, sound and clear. From the voice she let out before going silent, it's a given hint that she was struggling and having a tough time.

"As much as I wanted to, I cannot do that. I am assigned here to watch over you." He calmly said. Luxanna just rolled her eyes in annoyance. "But if that's what my master wants..."

The sound of his footsteps has suddenly stopped sooner than what Luxanna expected. She stayed on her place for a second before turning around at him. He was just standing at his place with his hands secluded on his back and eyes closed. For a moment, she was  examining his presence.

"W-Wait, what are you doing?" She asked, furrowing her eyebrows.

"Obeying my master's order." He casually replied.

Luxanna walked towards him, slid her hand to his and pulled him to the opposite direction. Ezreal was surprised at first but then shook his head, only to realize that he was following her lead with his hand being pulled forward.

"Milady?"

"You really think you can slack off in your first day of your job? Y-You'll just get yourself in trouble." She muttered without looking back at him.

Another smug curved from his lips as he rubbed his chin playfully.

This is getting interesting.

From afar, Garen and Tianna was watching Luxanna and also the new personal guard, Jarro Lightfeather. They were pleased that the two were getting quite a bit along, though Luxanna never showed any sign of kindness towards him. Ezreal continues to interrogate with her even if it means getting himself in trouble. Her parents also thought that having a personal guard might serve as a little distraction to their daughter to prevent her from making another foolish act that will put the family's reputation in a very complicated state, with the higher ups being the first ones to turn against them.

Ever since Jarro Lightfeather was hired to watch over her, Luxanna never imagined her life could get any worse, even considered worst than when she was found and blamed helping the mages escape. To her, nothing is more annoying than the loud-mouth blonde guy who thinks he was always right and has the audacity to order her around to do the same thing her parents usually asked her to do.

For the day, she planned to read some of her favorite books in the mansion's massive library, with her personal guard tailing her. She thought at last she'd receive a peace of mind. Ezreal on the other hand, was walking along the wide bookshelves surrounding the place. It's been a long time he had been in a room full of old books. From what he remembers, his last time was way back when he was still studying in Piltover. His uncle would always give him piles of books to read in his spare time. Though everyone knew he excels at his academics, his uncle wouldn't let him play or do other things. He never really wanted to remember his childhood but a sight like this gave him a nostalgic feel.
