A brunette haired girl woke up with the sunlight, the gentle light pouring onto her teal bedsheets, spilling and flooding her room, revealing the great display of color and the childish vibe the small area gave off. Tina lifted herself, so she was sitting, the girl stared out of her large window, smiling. The townsfolk down below seemed to come to life as the sun rose. Tina loved this, she always loved watching her home, and everybody within the town walls, burst to life in the morning, and go to rest in the early hours of the night. The girl rose from her bed, her perfectly poised feet touching the hard wood of the room, she groggily strolled over to closet, and opened the white door. Her closet was nothing exciting, exact the opposite, it simply had a few dresses, worn with age, a tunic, and a skirt. Tina grabbed her tunic and skirt, as well as getting a pair of pair of white-ish socks from her nightstand, she got dressed, and walked out of her room. The girl hopped onto the staircases railing, and slid down, she giggled in joy as she landed. "Nailed it, again" she chuckled as she walked over to her kitchen. "Now, what should I have today" she looked into the food cupboard, only a half of a loaf of bread sat in the cobwebbed cabinet. Tina sighed "bread it is, like it has been for the past week." She groaned as she grabbed a piece of the bread out of the cabinet, closing the door. Tina then put on her black, polished shoes, adjusting them. "Hm, I'll have to get a new pair after the academy today" she muttered as she grabbed the leather bag next to the door, the girl then left the small, old wooden house. Tina then began to walk along the graveled road, which had only recently been installed, maybe it was because more merchants depended on their horses? Tina wasn't sure, but a simple voice broke her from her thoughts, "Tina! Wait for me, Tina!" It was Daniek, a short, Ginger haired boy, his freckles seemed to stand out in the sun, only being combated by his baby blue eyes. Tina had met Daniek one Sunday morning, just before she had joined the school, he was being teased and pushed by older children, but Tina was there to show them she meant business, and Daniek has been by her side ever since. "Oh, good morning, Dani" Tina giggled, the boy crossed his arms "hmph! My name is Daniek, not Dani!" The boy grumbled. "I know, I just like calling you Dani" Tina pat the boy's head, he shoved her arm away playfully. The two began to walk today, Tina nibbling on the bread, "did you hear the news, Tina?" The boy chimed, "cant say I have" Tina nibbled on her bread "they're picking for the chosen one today!" Daniek cheered, causing Tina to almost choke on her bread "WHAT?!" The girl yelped, townsfolk looked at the brunette, bewildered by her yelps volume. Tina covered her mouth, politely, before whispering "what?!" "Yeah! Isn't it exciting! I bet your gonna be the one, you Tinitha Thumbwell!" The freckled boy's smiled almost glowed. Tina chuckled, and rubbed her neck "oh I hope so, it has been my dream after all" she responded, nervous. "Oh look!" Daniek pointed "we're here!" Bluebell Wind Academy, the school for the rich, smart, and Royal. Tina was lucky to even set foot in the school, having none of the qualities to be a bluebell, and as girls almost had no rights to attend classes. The two entered the giant red-bricked building. Mrs. Roseington, a older woman with curly greyish-black hair, stood at the front of the classroom, the black-stone board, which they called the "chalkboard" was empty, strange. "Children, settle down" she called to the children, whom were chatting among themselves, the children sat at their corresponding seats, Tina being next to Daniek. "Today is a very special occasion, please follow me in alphabetical order to the offices" the normally grouchy woman croaked. The children, lined up, followed Mrs. Roseington to the offices, Tina had butterflies in her stomach, she was very nervous, Daniek tapped her shoulder, making her turn her head to the boy, who smiled and flashed her a thumbs up, a gester of good luck he had shown the girl months ago. Tina smiled back as they reached the offices, Mrs. Roseington's froglike voice called the children's names, one by one. "Wellerson, Markus" a stout, blonde boy walked to the door of the office, his body perfectly straight, his amber eyes focused on the task at hand, as he entered the room, only to come out moments later, disappointment in his gaze. "Tinker, Aruter". This process was a wash and repeat, each child disappointed, but talked to friends after their turn, until. "Thumbwell, Tinitha" the girl looked at the teacher, who gently gestered her to the door, Tina stood and walked to the door, she was previously sitting on the ground with Daniek, speaking of Daniek, he smiled widely, and gave her two thumbs ups. Tina smiled at the gingered boy, and entered the office.
