32. the death of me

~Rayla Loris's POV~

Just as I thought that Claire and Axel have lost me, I hear Axel yelling my name.

I turn around and see him waving at me.

"RAYLA ITS ME, AXEL" he yelled loud enough for me to hear.

Well no shit, I thought you were Albert Einstein.

He then walks towards me with Claire.

I look over at Avery who's already giving them a death glare.

Typical her.

"Hey Rayla! What a coincidence" he smiles at me.

Yeah, not like if we live in the same city and there's only one mall in it.

"Yeah" I fight the urge of rolling my eyes.

If I'm being honest, the fact that he didn't do anything but leave when Liam scolded at him was a red flag in my opinion.

It's not that I want to date him but also as a friend it's a red flag.

I can't be friends with a guy that would probably run away if I was getting kidnapped or something.

"Well, this is Claire, the girl I told you about" he 'introduced' me to Claire.

"Claire this is Rayla" he said before noticing her giving me a glare.

"What a pleasure to see you again little Rae" she gave me a sarcastic smile.

She was also in my class before Ace died so she knew he used to call me that.

Avery took a step forward, ready to beat the shit out of her but I glared at her motioning her not to do anything as Axel just looked at us with confusion.

"Don't call me that" I said trying not to yell.

"You know each other?" Axel asked in confusion.

"Yeah she's an old friend" Claire replied.

Friend my ass.

"I need to talk to you" Claire grabs my arm before Avery pushes her hand off my arm.

"Don't worry Avery. If anything happens call Liam, he'll know what to do" I tell her before leaving with Claire.

"What do you want?" I roll my eyes and cross my hands.

"Aw, don't you not miss me?" She asks mockingly.

The memories of her and Jay flooded back and I couldn't hold back the urge to slap her.

Yes I slapped her.

"WHAT THE FUCK RAYLA?" She yelled at me.

"That's for ruining my childhood"

"And this" *punches her in the stomach* "is for coming back into my life" I give her a sarcastic smile before she falls to the ground.

I bend down to her and say "I want you and Axel to leave me the fuck alone. Am I understood?"

She didn't reply.

"AM I UNDERSTOOD?" I yelled again and she nodded rapidly.

"Cowards" I kick her and walk away.

I reach Avery and Axel.

"If you excuse us, we have to go" I yell Axel and grab Av's wrist and pull her behind me.

"What happened?" She asks.

"Let's just say that she got her first warning" I smirk and walk out of the mall.

"Good cause if you came any later I would've probably already called Liam" she sighs.
