Figure It Out (a Madnessa story)

Unknown Feelings

Nessa's POV

I've called, text, etc. and Madelaine still hasn't even read them. She starting to scare me. I want to go out and look for her but I should have been home ages ago. When I get home I'm greeted with rose petals leading me to the backyard where he's sitting at a table that has food, that looks like he couldn't make it himself, and glasses of wine filled half way with the bottle on ice in the middle of the table. He stands up, fixes his white button down that's partially open and smiles at me. My eyes go wide at the scene. 

"Welcome home baby" Michael come and greets me with a huge. 

"Michael..." I struggle to find my words. "what's all this" I finally let out.

"My make-up present" he smiles. He is obviously very proud of himself. "Where's Mads?" he says looking over my shoulder expecting her to be behind me with her jaw dropped to the floor.  'Why do you care? You only want her to see this to prove your position in my life?' Nessa thought.

"She's not staying with us tonight" I respond coldly and take a seat in front of one of the plates. Michael takes the hint to dropped the topic of Madelaine and sits opposite of me. 

"Oh okay well, lets eat." he gives me a warm smile. I just look down and nibble at my food. All I can think about where Mads is. Does she have somewhere to sleep? What clothes is she gonna where? Everything Mads owns is currently either in her room or in boxes outside the guest bathroom. "You okay?" Michael interrupted my train of thought. 

"Yeah"

"Vanessa, I wanted to say I'm really sorry for the past few weeks. Things just have been strained sense Madelaine moved in. I feel like you've been more focus on weather she's getting over Travis than our relationship. And even when we were on the way to Tampa you barley talked to me. I can tell you mind was still at home taking care of her." I looked at Michael and burst into laugher. Michael just stared at me in disbelief. When I caught her breath she spoke.

"More worried about her than our relationship. Seriously? Your jealous of Madelaine because I've been giving her special attention because she just ended a 3 year relationship and me as her bestfriend is worried about how she's doing" I shook her head. "Michael me and you are married. This ring means I can't go anywhere. " I showed the rock on my left ring finger. "So why are you so insecure? Because I'm suppling my bestie with support for a few weeks doesn't make it okay for you to act like shit to me or her." Now I stared deep in his eyes. I was pissed it's cause of him Madelaine doesn't wanna even live with me anymore. He dragged me away for 1 day and within that 24 hours something went down and I wasn't there to stop it. 

"Your right Nessa we are married and we live in this house like a married couple. And as your husband I no longer want Madelaine living in OUR house." 

"YOU CAN'T KICK HER OUT!" I yelled "WHERE IS SHE SUPPOSED TO GO?" 

"I don't know but she can't stay here." Michael stood and walked to there bedroom shutting there door. Nessa downed the rest of her wine and grabbed the bottle. She stomped upstairs to Madelaine's room and got into the sheets. She cried herself to sleep alone holding onto the sheets that smelled like the red head whom arms she wished she was in. 

No one's POV

Mads left the book store about 30 minutes before it closed and called Lili.

Calling Lili💁🏼‍♀️💗...

"Hello"

"Hey Lils" Mads sighed.

"Madelaine hey are you okay?"

"No, can you come get"  Mads started to tear up on the other side of the phone.

"For sure, text me your location I'll be right there." Lili said worried now. 

"Okay" Mads sent her location. And 10 minutes later Lili was there. When the two got to Lili's house mads spilled her guts about everything that happened over the break.

"Wow. That's a lot."

"I don't know what to do"

"Well running from Vanessa and your problems don't fix anything so I think you to need to talk" Mads nodded. "But now you need rest so get some sleep and we'll fix all of this tomorrow okay?" Mads nodded again. Lili gave Madelaine pjs and let her have her bed. Mads feel right to sleep. All these feeling were of unknown to her and think about them made both women stressed. Both of them knew they wanted to be with each other they just didn't know how. Yet.
