Figure It Out (a Madnessa story)

Mads POV

Why? Was I that bad that he had to go and cheat on me? Yes, maybe I yelled a lot but could you blame me? Everyday coming home to the same thing. The place a mess and him on the coach either sleep or him and his boys playing the game. An guess who is stuck playing house keeper. ME! And he had the nerve to say I'm never home. Unlike him I actually have a career. Rapping can only take you so far Travis. Maybe I work a lot but that's to keep a roof over our head since his income can only do so much. Speaking of roof over my head were the hell am I gonna stay?Cami's at Charles place and Cole and Lili are on vacation. What about Vanessa? I don't know maybe not. I guess I rather not intrude on Mrs. and Mr. Kopetch, but she's all I got and I need my best friend right now.

Through teary eyes she reaches for her phone to call Vanessa.

'Hey Mads' Vanessa says cheerfully over the phone

'Hey Nessa' her voice is horsed from crying so hard

'Mads are you ok? What's wrong?!' Vanessa voice instantly filling with panic at the sound of her friend.

"Me and Trav broke up and I don't have a place to stay. Can I come over? It's ok if not I'll just get a hotel" She tried so hard to seem like she was fine so Vanessa didn't feel like she had to let Madelaine come over.

"Yes, Mads you can come over you shouldn't be alone anyway"

"You sure? I don't wanna mess anything up with you and Michael" Her and Michael got along well. He actually liked the friendship she and his wife had, but Mads always felt a bitterness to him. Like he was intruding on her and Vanessa she really couldn't explain it.

"Mads it's fine get over her now. I need you to help plot which way I'm gonna kill him" that last part made Mads smile. Vanessa was always crazy protective over Madelaine. Even when her and Travis first started dating she will always tell him if he ever hurt Mads she kill him and feed him to Olive and Yoshi. Now it seem like she actually get a chance.

Mads gets to Vanessa's house and knocks on the door. Michael answers and greets Mads with a warm smile. Mads with puffy read eyes just looked at him and tried to smile but only could pull off a smirk. As soon as she entered the house Vanessa ran down the stairs and embraced Mads, who just buried herself in Vanessa's shoulder. They stayed like this until Vanessa broke the hugs taking Mads hand

"Come on lets go put your stuff down" her voice was clam and soothing to Madelaine. She just nodded and followed Vanessa up the stairs leaving Michael down stairs admiring his wife's caring traits. Vanessa leads the pair to the guest room.

"Set your stuff down and change and I'll be back in a bit." she says giving Mads another another hug before leaving her alone in the guest bedroom. It had a full bathroom,a pretty big closet,and a TV. Mads put her bag at the foot of the bed and got changed into more comfortable clothes.

Vanessa walks down the stairs and goes to the kitchen grabbing some snacks for her and Mads.

"How is she?" Michael walks in and hugs Nessa from behind as she observers the snacks she picked out.

"Really quiet.I mean can you blame her? I don't even know what happen yet, but i can only imagine breaking up with someone you've been with for 3 years must me bad enough" she sighs pushing up against the counter creating space between her and Michael. She didn't really know why but she just didn't want to be all lovey-dovey while Mads was here.

"Exactly why I put a ring on you.." he pulls Vanessa back into his chest "so you can't leave." he whispers and kisses her neck. Nessa just laughs nervously and grabs her collection of snacks.

"Yup" she smiles faintly "I should go check on her" she turns and walks quickly up the stairs. When she gets to the top of the stairs she lets out a sigh of relief. She really wasn't in the mood for Michael to be rubbing all on her. Which was weird because she always loves to be close to him; literally every picture the take together there is no space between them. She walks to the guest room and opens the door. Mads is bent over searching her bag for a hair-tie. Vanessa eyes trail down her body. Mads was wearing shorts that cut super high and a crop-top that cuts a few inches above her bellybutton. Vanessa's snap-out her trans by Madelaine's voice.

"Like what you see Mrs. Kopetch?" Vanessa hates when people call her that. She is and will always be Vanessa Morgan. Even though she's a little annoyed by the name she was given she couldn't help but blush because she was caught staring.

"A. I hate being called that and you know it" she rolled her eyes playfully "B. Maybe I do" she cocked an eyebrow at Mads who smiled putting her hair in a messy bun.

"I got us snacks" she says holding up vegan chips in one hand and holding a tub of vegan ice cream with two spoons in the other.

"Tea is also brewing down stairs" Vanessa continues in a British accent. Mads turns and hops onto the bed tapping the space beside her telling Vanessa to come sit next to her. Nessa sets the snacks down and hops under the covers beside Madelaine.

After flipping through channels for something to watch they settle on Law and Order . When Madelaine is all settled in Vanessa goes and gets their tea only to come back to Mads crying silently to herself.

"Mads, come on it'll be ok. Wanna know something? I didn't like him anyway" Vanessa says. Seriously Nessa never approved of Travis. She didn't like that Mads was giving her love to someone else especially someone like Travis. He would do the most when Vanessa would come around. Like he was trying to distract her from Vanessa, but she kept quit knowing that her Best Friend was happy with him. When Mads called her and told her it was over she wanted to jump for joy but the sound of mads voice told her it wasn't on good terms. Making Nessa wanna find him an strangle him till he was purple and blue.

"I'm just so mad. I do love him so much, but the things he does and did.." she breaks down sobbing again and all Nessa can do is hold her broken friend.

"What did he do?" Vanessa questions dying to know since she hasn't received any new information since the phone call. Mads tells Vanessa how things have been bad between them and how the night played out before she got to Vanessa's house. As Nessa listen she only got more upset. How can Travis be so shallow? Why to Mads? Why did this happen to her? She so sweet and beautiful and deserves the world, but instead he goes and cheats on her? Don't let me catch you in the streets Travis Mills or I'll end you!  She's zapped out of thoughts when Mads ends her story.

"An that's when I called you and now I'm here" she says in a shaky voice. Tears are streaming down her face. Vanessa sitting at her side rubbing her back.

"Mads.."Madelaine looked down waiting for her to say the usual I'm sorry like every other person would, but that didn't happen at all. Vanessa gently grabbed Mads chin so she was forced to look her in the eyes. She's so beautiful and perfect. Was she always this pretty? I mean don't get me wrong Vanessa Morgan is the most beautiful girl on the planet, but wow. Mads is lost in the pools of brown that are Vanessa's eyes when Nessa brings their foreheads together.

"He didn't deserve you anyways" she says almost above a whisper keeping eye contact. I wanna kiss her. Wait what?! No she's your best friend and she's fucking married dummy. But she looks so..hot. NO! She's your best friend nothing more! But..

"Mads?" Nessa says cupping Mads face with one and taking her hand in the other. Madelaine shakes her head trying not to act on her urges.

"Yeah" she finally responds

"You ok? You zoned out on me" Nessa smiles at Mads

"Yeah just a little tired. Let's just watch TV" They sit back and continue watching their show. It doesn't take long for Mads to start falling asleep. But not before having this though.

I'm I catching feels for my MARRIED best friend? No, I can't be. But she makes me feel this special way that not even Travis could make me feel. Maybe I am. Whatever it is I need to 'figure it out'.
