Chapter 03: The Seven Stars Of Suzaku!

*Narrator's POV*

The Lady Miaka Yuki and Lady Tsubasa Moriyama were both typical and ordinary junior high school students doing their best to pass their exams.

One day at the library, a radiant red bird appeared and led them to a magical tome; the book of 'The Universe of the Four Gods'.

They and their schoolmate Yui, were transported to ancient China through the books spell, but were separated again soon after.

The Lady Miaka and the Lady Tsubasa found themselves in the Konan Empire, and Yui discovered she had returned to the present day library to follow the story as Lady Miaka and Lady Tsubasa met Tamahome; a young man with the symbol of the ogre, and the three of them were caught and thrown into prison by order of Hotohori, the Emperor.

Hotohori stood up and addressed everyone in the room. "Let it be proclaimed that here are the ones we have been waiting for: Miaka Yuki and Tsubasa Moriyama, the saviours of our Empire! The Priestess of Suzaku, and the Celestial Guardian of Suzaku!"

The courtiers bowed respectfully in front of the girls and thanked them. "Thank you, O Priestess of Suzaku! Thank you, O Celestial Guardian of Suzaku!"

And so it came to pass that Miaka Yuki was to be the Priestess of Suzaku, and Tsubasa Moriyama was to be the Celestial Guardian of Suzaku, the girls of legend.

*Yui's POV*

"'On the night of their initiation, their first night as Priestess of Suzaku and Celestial Guardian of Suzaku, the Priestess had a dream...'"

"'The Celestial Guardian went to check up on her.'"

"'However...'"

*Tsubasa's POV*

I was humming along to the opening of Fushigi Yuugi, when Miaka ran towards me and grabbed my arm. "What are you-"

"No time to ask! We need to get to Hotohori!" She yelled while literally dragging me with her down a couple of hallways until we reached Hotohori's room before she pushed the door open. "Hotohori-Oof!" She face-planted the ground, and because she still had a grip on my arm, I too, face-planted the ground, and let me tell you, it hurt like hell.

I sat up and rubbed my forehead. "Careful, Miaka!"

"Miaka. Tsubasa."

Miaka sat up quickly and smiled at Hotohori. "Hotohori-I mean Emperor."

I got up and made my way over to Tamahome and stood at his right side and gave Hotohori a small wave. "Hello. Sorry Miaka barged in like that without knocking."

Miaka puffed her cheeks she. "Tsubasa!"

Hotohori gave us a closed-eye smile. "That's quite alright. It's good to see that you're both well. I am so sorry that I've been too busy to come and stay with you." Too busy looking at your own reflection, you mean?

Miaka got up and stood to Tamahome's left and bowed. "Uh, you don't have to be sorry."

"And now you're..."

"Well, actually, I'd like for you to tell me what I have to do to obtain the real power of Suzaku." Miaka told him.

"So, we've come to that." Hotohori said before opening up a red scroll and looked down at it. "It's written in this scroll." Miaka gasped.
