"What an unpleasant coincidence..."

"You've gotta be kidding me... "
We both spoke.

This isn't as funny as I expected it to be.....

No, this isn't funny at all.

As I thought about how coincidental it would've been, Lo and behold the black-haired beauty appeared beside me once again.

The chances of this 3 in a row coincidence are almost as low as someone having bigger genitals than me.

"I can't seem to get rid of you. This is really annoying, tch." She sat down slowly, looking at me in disgust.

"Must be fate," I said out loud because I felt bothered keeping that thought to myself.

".... Are you trying to hit on me? Disgusting!" She looked a bit taken aback but then expressed even more disgust.

"Hmm? Oh no. I only said that because although all our encounters were unfriendly and gave rise to a mutual feeling of staying away from each other, we still somehow keep having even more encounters. Isn't that fascinating?" I expressed my amazement and my reason for calling this situation fate.

She stared at me with a baffled expression for a while and muttered "Weirdo" as she turned her attention away from me.

"This seems like a rather well-equipped classroom. It would appear to live up to people's expectations, hmm?" Yes. The boy who'd quarrelled with those women on the bus, Koenji Rokusuke.

"I see. This certainly is bad luck," She said. This troublemaker had been placed in Class D with us.

He glanced at me for a second and went over to the seat labelled "Koenji Rokusuke" and sat.

I wondered if such a person had ever considered even the idea of friendship, like all the other students at this age.

I tried observing him for a little bit. Koenji put his feet on top of the desk, took a nail file from his bag, and hummed while he treated his fingernails. He acted as though he were completely alone.

Well, observing him doesn't seem to be doing any good and was a total waste of time.

I dropped my attention on him and noticed my seatmate had her gaze fixed on her book named 'Crimes and Punishments'. As I thought she isn't at all a social person.

Her social battery must've already been depleted after talking with me.

After a few minutes, the first bell rang. At that precise moment, a woman entered the classroom. When I first saw her, my initial impression was that she firmly believed in discipline.

If I had to guess, I would have placed her age at thirty. She wore a suit and had delicate features. Her hair seemed long, and she'd tied it into a ponytail.

"Ahem. Good morning to you, students. I'm the instructor for Class D.
My name is Chabashira Sae. I usually teach Japanese history. However, at this school, we do not change classrooms for each grade. For the next three years, I will be acting as your homeroom teacher, so I hope to get to know all of you. It's a pleasure to meet you. The entrance ceremony will be in the gymnasium one hour from now, but first, I will distribute written materials with information about this school's special rules. I will also hand out the
admissions guide."

The students in the front seats passed back the familiar documents I'd
received after being accepted.
This school differed from the multitude of other Japanese high schools
in a few key ways.

Here, all students were required to live in dormitories located on school premises. Also, except for special cases, such as studying abroad, students were forbidden to contact anyone outside the school. Even contact with your immediate family was forbidden without authorization. Naturally, leaving school grounds without permission was also strictly forbidden.
