"Let's go see a movie." And with the words that left Dally's mouth, the younger teens followed him towards the drive-in movie theater.

Dallas, Johnny, Pony, and Robbie all crawled under the fence to the drive-in movie theater one by one. The quartet didn't want Robbie to pay even though she offered because she had the money, Ponyboy especially insisted her not to pay. "I still think I should've paid," Robbie says as she wipes dirt from her ripped jean-covered legs as she crawled out first. "It'd prevent us from getting dirt on us and back problems that I will greatly suffer in the future." Robbie's green eyes look around as the other boys follow her lead in crawling underneath the fence, Dally popping out first. "Oh, hush now, princess. It's just a little dirt." The older boy spoke as he held the fence for Pony and Johnny as they crawled through. Robbie looked at Dally with a slight glare, she hated being called anything other than Robbie or Rob. It was never any cute nicknames like the ones her Grandpa would call her, and most definitely not Melanie. She only ever let the old man who raised her use her first name.
"We would've felt bad if you paid, we wouldn't be able to pay you back," Ponyboy spoke honestly with a little guilt in his eyes. "We wouldn't wanna seem like we're just using you, either."
"Well, I wouldn't have felt bad, but what he said." Dallas blurts out, earning a punch in the arm from the youngest Curtis. The female of the group just shrugged, showing she wouldn't have cared, and she didn't care about the comment from the Winston boy.
They all walked towards the sitting area, parking themselves in seats beside each other. "Man, it's freezing." Pony shivered as he sat down beside Robbie as two girls sat in front of them, complaining about seeing the movie without their boyfriends. She cocked a brow at him in confusion. "Why didn't you bring a jacket?" Pony looked at her, finding it adorable how her eyebrows knitted together in confusion as she stared at the brunette boy beside her. "I didn't think I'd need one," He answered. Robbie tilted her head to the side. "Do you want my jacket? It's big on me, so it'd probably fit you." The question caused him to shake his head instantly. The girl nodded, then looked at the movie in front of her, crossing her arms to try and keep herself warm.
"Are you a real redhead?" Dally asked as he leaned forward, getting close to the redhead's ear as he spoke flirtatiously. The girl didn't answer as her friend giggled. "Leave her alone, Dal," Johnny told the older one, not being listened to.
"How... How can I know if your hair is the same color as your.." Dally pointed down then up with his finger. "Your eyebrows?"
The girl finally snapped, shrugging him away. "Can you be nice and leave us alone?" Robbie looked over at the man-child beside her. "Hey, Winston, leave 'em alone before I make you." The shock was written over the faces of the boys she came with, nobody ever talked to Dallas Winston that way.
"What did you say to me, kid?" Dally asked cockily, moving his face closer to Robbie's. She didn't show any emotion as she also leaned forward. "I said to leave 'em alone before I make you. Are you hard of hearing or some shit?" The older boy glared into her green eyes as she glared back into his brown ones before getting up. "Fine, fine." He started to walk away. "I know when I'm not wanted." The girl beside Pony rolled her eyes. "Obviously not."
She looked to her left, noticing the faces of Johnny and Pony. "What?"
"Nobody ever talks to Dallas that way," Johnny whispered.
