Thoughts, a lot of them.

The bus ride back was anything but fun. Class 1A was a mixture of stunned silence or incomprehensible yelling which proved to be a very unsuccessful method when trying to unpack whatever the fuck just happened.

Kaminari himself was deathly quiet, which was a noticeable difference to how boisterous he reacted at USJ and at the summer camp. His friends definitely saw the change in demeanor, but at the moment he was too far gone to care.

Was Kaminari okay? Physically? Yes. Mentally? Hell no.

A single thought played through his mind like a broken record on repeat. And it was how he, an elite assassin whose code name shook the cores of even the mightiest mob bosses, failed to protect his own family. He let his friends be the targets of fucking snipers and he just sat there like a crying little bitch.

Of course, the logical Kaminari knew he shouldn't be so harsh on himself. That it wasn't his fault that the organization decided to play dirty. Yet he couldn't help it because he should've known that Project Beta never played by the rules.

But before the blonde could spiral any further the school bus pulled up to UA, time sure does fly in a panic induced f. Apparently news traveled fast because there were already several teachers, including an exhausted Aizawa, and a principal Nedzu awaiting their arrival. The small gathering caught other students' attention as well and a handful of them began to congregate by the parking lot.

The bus came to a screeching halt and the faculty immediately began to help the kids out one by one. They quickly checked them for any injuries and Kaminari watched with solemn eyes as two of his classmates were escorted away by Recovery Girl.

Those that remained, actually everyone on campus, were guided back into the dorms to be put on lockdown. Upon entering the building everyone gathered in the common room. Some crashed onto the couches, others sat by the dining tables, and a few opted to stand while the faculty took stance by the dorm entrance. The atmosphere was quiet save for the occasional whisper. Kaminari purposefully tucked away in the kitchen corner, chugging a cold water bottle from the fridge in hopes of grounding himself.

"Can anybody provide a rundown on what just happened down at the mall?" Principal Nedzu wasted no time starting the investigation. It was kind of scary how routine it felt for the school to be dealing with yet another villain attack, but there was no time to linger on that thought as time was of the essence.

"There were two snipers." Todoroki didn't miss a beat and everyones' heads snapped towards the heterochromia eyed teen. Surprisingly one or two students nodded their heads in confirmation, having come to the same conclusion, while others' eyes widened in disbelief.

For once, Kaminari was grateful that he wasn't the center of attention and that Todoroki was the one to speak up. At the moment the electric blonde just stood there, expression seemingly unfazed, only panting just a tad after drinking a lot of water at once. But on the inside his mind was going a mile a minute, a mix of worrying for his friends and theorizing about what the organization was plotting. In this state Kaminari definitely couldn't be his normal happy self right now. Well, nobody could under these circumstances, but that wasn't the point.

Nedzu reached into his suit vest pocket, pulling out a small notebook and pen, immediately jotting down what his student was debriefing. "Do you know where?"

"One in the western corner of the mall roof, the other in the eastern parking garage." The peppermint haired boy paused for a moment to let his principal finish whatever he was scribbling. "But they're most likely long gone by now."
