After his meteoric rise to superstardom, Jim O'Brien is no longer a small-town boy who plays in bars and dreams of success. His handsome face is plastered on the covers of celebrity gossip magazines, and his voice alone is enough to make girls swoon...
First of all, thank you. For reading, loving my characters, saying you feel you've known them your whole life. It means a lot, especially when I see you read and vote for every book of mine and get excited when I update.
Now, yesterday I asked about splitting Jim and Ava's story, and I appreciate that so many of you answered. I'll explain my decision and why I made it.
Initially, it was going to be one book and the epilogues for Ellie, Aiden, Sky, Liam, Ava, and Jim. Jim and Ava's story concludes the series I've been working on for several years, and it's a big deal, especially because I discovered my love for writing when I wrote His Everything.
I sat down and went through my chapter outline yesterday. If I stick to the plan, we have more than thirty chapters left to tell the story I want to tell with all the twists and the character development it deserves. If I include the epilogues in this book, it will be a 100 parts giant.
If you know and love my works, you'd read. However, I asked my Instagram followers the same thing. The majority wouldn't start a book if it has many chapters. Many say overly long books have fillers and feel like a huge commitment.
So, if I want more readers to meet and fall in love with Jim and Ava, a book that long could potentially make it hard for people to pick it up. If I'm honest, I can understand that point of view.
Something I want you to know is it isn't a sequel. It's the second part of the story. Beautifully ends on a major turning point — Jim's trip. The conflict of the first book is resolved — Ava knows the truth about Jim.
The second part has a huge, life-altering event that will impact both Jim and Ava. Ava's character development will happen in the second part, and they will have to fight for their relationship. I didn't invent the conflict to fill the pages; it was always there, waiting to be written.
So, even if you don't like reading a series, it would mean the world to me if you kept on reading the second part. I called both books the Jim and Ava duet. It's a bit musical and fitting, and similar to Brian and Leah's duology many of you love.
Here's book two.

Add it to your library cause the first chapter will be up as soon as it's written. There won't be a pause between updates. I'll just keep writing as I would if it were one book only.
Let me know your thoughts, and thank you for being the best readers ever!
