CH03 : A Friend in need

Felix's POV:
Nari? I wonder, what type of Pokémon is she? She must be a Ninetails too, like the others. But, I don't understand.. Why does she look so... Different. She seems... Fun to be with. But what is the reason why she's here... She probably has a family here... I think. I hope she wouldn't mind if I go see her, right? But.. I don't know... What if she leaves me here with no way out?.. No. I won't think that way. I can handle myself.

I bought some potions, berries, and other things before I go find Nari. I settled with what I have and paid for the items I bought and packed up. Before leaving I told the merchant where I bought my items that I was gonna look for Nari, And left.

I hope Nari isn't lost in the dungeon all by herself without a guide...

I hope she's safe all by herself, This place has risky areas that aren't suitable for Pokémon like us...

I wander around different areas of the dungeon while I look for Nari, I try to avoid strong enemies as I search.

8 minutes of searching Later

A loud bang was heard not so far from where I am currently at.

What was that...?! Uh oh, Don't tell me...

I rush towards where the bang came from, Making sure Nari wasn't a victim. As I reached the place where the explosion happened, I saw two strong looking Pokémon fighting, It looked like the two Pokémon are in a very close tie.

Phew... It wasn't Nari... But still... I hope she's safe. I should continue my search.

I quietly walk away from the location of the explosion to prevent myself from being apart of whatever was happening.

Nari's POV:

"Alright, I've made my decision, I'm gonna go back and tell Felix." I told myself

I start to go back to where Felix is, Hoping he isn't wandering around all by himself, It's been quite a long time since I've been in an adventure.

My, It's been forever since the last adventure I've been in, But this one is pretty different and unique; I already consider myself as a pretty good adventurer, well-- Aside from dumb-face of course, They're really good in navigating different places. But put that aside, This new quest I'm in will take some time. But i really hope Felix isn't in any trouble, I wouldn't dare to trouble myself even more, But it's for the sake of the Ninetails' and their kin.

As I arrived at the place where I first met Felix, I notice he left.

"Felix? Hello?" I softly yelled his name, hoping he'd show up somewhere.

Huh, Weird... I thought I told him to stay put...

"The boy left to look for you." The merchant told me

"Err... Thank you?... Uh... Do you have any Idea where he went...?" I asked awkwardly

"No, He went somewhere without telling me where he's gonna go" He answered me

"Oh, Thank you. I really hope he's not in any trouble." I thanked the Merchant for telling me

I rush through every area at the floor I'm currently in, Hoping Felix is in one of them whilst wishing he wasn't in any danger.

I can't afford risking everything I have to save some kid I just met, but then again, It's my job to save a species from extinction. I can't believe I'm doing this. Why didn't he just listen? I've got to be honest though, I didn't expect myself to search for a child within a species near to extinction.

After 10 minutes of searching for Felix

It's been 10 minutes and I haven't found Felix yet, Well sucks to be me, No I don't feel bad, I feel bad for myself that I'm doing this, Ugh what did I put myself into. I was about to let him travel with me, But he straight up left without thinking what he's gonna run into. Oh well, I should go to higher floors to see if he's there.

I go to the higher floors' continuing my search; I was pretty sick of searching but, I didn't want Felix to die either, I take a break from running everywhere all the time. I ate little to save my food for future areas.

I'm kind of tired, maybe I should take a rest and... Get all of my stamina back.

I slowly close my eyes to rest from all the searching and running I did while I was searching for Felix. I finally close my eyes to rest for a while before looking for Felix again.

Narrator's POV:

As Nari falls asleep to take a break from running, She wonders why Felix was in this dungeon in the first place. Nari plans where she's gonna go next while thinking of ways to avoid the Ninetails Hunt Decree as one of the Ninetails mentioned the decree to her after she woke up from her long slumber.

In Felix's point of view, He struggles to find Nari in the middle of the 3rd floor. Even if the enemies he encountered were a bit easy, He's better in battling than he is in searching and navigating through different terrain.

(Note: Heya there Alaska here, So uh, just to let you know, Chapter update will go slower than ever becauseeee, Mask is lazy af and is not helping me with the story progress while me over here has Online Class coming in a few days and mental breakdowns are happening, so uh, Yea, sorry, You can continue now, Ad astra abyssosque, Ehe :'D)

"Nari... Where are you..." Felix faintly whimpered to himself

"I should just give up, I should've just listened to Nari and stayed put..."

Felix took a break from searching and curled up into a ball and started to whimper to himself.
