“Why am I here again?” I mumbled as I open the freezer. “Oh right, they begged me to buy them drinks.”

I rolled my eyes, before taking the drinks they said and placed it on the basket, that is filled with my snacks. After finding all of it, I closed it again. I was about to walk, but I felt my phone vibrated.

I stopped and placed the basket down, then answered the phone. I didn't even bother to see who it was.

“Hello?”

“Hyacinth.”

“Amethyst......” I whispered and looked at the guy in front of me.  “Why did you call? Is your extra class finish?”

“Sadly, it isn't yet done. I called because I want to thank you!”

“Huh?” I asked confusedly. My eyes never leaving the guy wearing a mask and cap.

He look suspicious.

“Kalix texted me, saying that you were there to buy them drinks. I'm really sorry for bothering you.”

“So you and Kalix are textmates, aye? Is my ship sailing?” I teased, still looking at the guy.

I really have a bad feeling about this.

“Goodness Hyacinth, you're such a child.” I heard Amethyst said.

I chuckled lowly. The guy gave me a glance, luckily I moved my gazed when I chuckled. Or else, he might caught me staring at him.

When I saw him minding his own business again. I looked at him and narrowed my eyes.

What is he buying?

He wasn't even holding a basket and didn't even took one drink. Both of his hands are on his jackets pocket. His head hanging low.

“Hello? Hya are you still there?”

“Yeah I'm here and Amethyst.”

“What?”

“I'm your senior! Respect your elderly!”

“Hah! We're the same age. You just went to school a year early.”

“Heh, that ain't my proble–”

My eyes widened when a loud gunshot echoed through the store. I instantly sat down and placed both of my hands above my head out of reflexes.  My eyes went to the guy, who were acting suspicious.

He was holding a gun.

I slowly stood up and took my basket. His focus is infront, so I took the chance. I slowly backed away, not minding Amethyst voice, coming from my phone.

When I was at end, I looked at my side. No one was there so I went to the other aisle. Luckily the aisle next to were I went has a wall.

Where the women things are in there. I sat down and held my phone near my ear. I can feel my hands trembling and my body shaking.

“Hya!? What happened!?” I heard the panick voice of Amethyst.

Before I could answer. Series of gunshots fired , that made me tremble more. My hands are covering each of my ear to lessen the loud gunshots.

Different scenarios had been playing on my head.

I am so scared.

I'm scared to die yet.

I'm scare that mom would be left alone.

I'm scared to see her tears if I die.

I'm scared to leave her in such condition that she has.
