Chapter 22 [Esdeath's Warning]

Tatsumi's P.O.V

I woke up early that morning to a text from Esdeath she needed me to babysit for her because she was going out with friend's so i exepted the request and got ready i let Akame feed on my blood before i left even though i would olny be gone about two hour's i figured i'd be consideret.

Akame:"Where are you going darling?"

Tatsumi:"I have to babysit for Esdeath i'll be back in two hour's okay."

Akame:"Okay i'll see you when you get home don't keep me waiting."

Tatsumi:"I'll be back soon."

Akame:"Bye."

Tatsumi:"Bye."

As i made my way to Esdeath's house i felt odd i had the key to Incursio hidden in my jacket so if someone attacked i had that and wolf's bain so i was ready if thing's went down hill.

*Knock Knock Knock*

Esdeath:"Come in."

I opened the door and she was nowhere to be seen so she was still likely getting dressed and her daughter was still in bed i looked around and saw a picture of her on her wedding day.

She looked so happy then her now ex-husband cheated on her then ran off with another woman kinda like my father but my father wasn't her husband i knew that the first time i met him.

I put the picture back and waited for Esdeath to finish getting ready.

Esdeath:"I hope i didn't keep you waiting to long."

Tatsumi:"Not at all."

Esdeath:"Now i have something i need to ask you."

Tatsumi:(What does she mean by that?)

Esdeath got close to my ear and asked.

Esdeath:"Why did you go against me?"

Tatsumi:"What do you mean?"

Esdeath backed up slightly but still looked into my eye's as if she was staring into my soul then spoke again.

Esdeath:"That book i told you to destroy you kept reading it and after all that you found that damned blade."

It was clear to me that playing dumb wasn't gonna help my case here.

Tatsumi:"What's it any of your consern anyway?"

Esdeath:"You are my student and i'm trying to keep you safe i saw you on the news using that armor you were lucky noone recognised you or you and your mother could have been put in major danger from that."

Tatsumi:"Have you not seen all the good that could come from this armor? With it i could protect this place from all these criminal's. Do you not see that?"

Esdeath:"That sound's much the same as what i said to my father when i discovered my Teigu. You know about the tattoo on my chest well it's the marking of my Teigu 'Demon's extract' i used it to fight criminal's until that day the day i killed my own mother i didn't do it on purpose but that told me that my Teigu was to powerful for me to understand not only that i've cursed my own daughter with it."

I branded a confused look, what did she mean by she "Cursed her daughter"?

Tatsumi:"What do you mean by that?"

Esdeath:"Since i have Demon's extract in my blood stream my baby girl was born with it now when she's old enough to have children of her own they'll be born with it because i didn't understand how dangerous these Teigu's were i've cursed my whole bloodline from now forward."

She was getting very emotional and was on the verge of tear's.

Esdeath:"I just don't want you to make the same mistake i did."

Tatsumi:"It wasn't your fault that your mother was killed noone gave you the proper training for that Teigu you were afraid of yourself and your power Demon's extract was only as scary as you made it out to be your father got into your head and made you scared of yourself but in the end it's not your fault you did what i'm doing now you tried to make you home safer noone blame's you for it."

Esdeath grabed me and held onto me tightly.

Esdeath:"Thank you i guess that's all i needed to hear."

Tatsumi:"Just remember fear only make's thing's worse. There's no need to worry about me i'll be okay."

Esdeath:"Then keep that promess i don't want to be the one to tell everyone that you were killed."

Tatsumi:"I swear on it."

She hugged me one last time before heading out to meet up with her friend's.
