The talk with Lucas changed her perspective. It was surprising to see this side of his which she had never discovered. Was it going to go well? Will she be able to cope up with her new family?

"I'll go now." She spoke getting up "take care of your hand."

He nodded smiling a bit as they both walked off the school

As she walked outside, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was stepping into a world she didn't fully understand. It was late but the distance to home was not long so she decided to walk instead of taking a bus.

When she arrived, her mom's car was already parked outside, filled with boxes and suitcases. Daisy was talking  with John, who looked relieved to see them. The sight of John's arms around her mom made Christina's heart clench. What was happening? Were they moving into his house?

Christina asked looking surprised as she didn't know they were moving in so soon. "What's going on here?"

Daisy turned around with a wide smile, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Oh, honey, we decided to move in with John sooner rather than later. The movers came by while you were still at school. Isn't it great?"

Christina looks at her shocked. she had never thought that they would leave their place so soon. everything seemed weird.

"Not today mom. I need time."

Daisy's smile faltered, "But we've got everything planned out. John and the boys are waiting for us."

Christina felt her anxiety spike. "But what about our house?"

Daisy took a deep breath, her eyes filled with a mix of excitement and nerves. "We're going to sell it, sweetheart. We're starting a new chapter in our lives, and this is the first step."

Christina's heart sank as she stared at her mother, unable to comprehend the reality of the situation. Her entire life was packed into those boxes, memories of her childhood, her father... everything she had ever known. "But why?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Daisy took Christina's hand, her eyes filled with a gentle understanding. "Honey, I know this is a big change, but it's for the better. John and I love each other, and we want to start our new life together. And think of it this way, you'll have five new brothers to annoy." She tried to lighten the mood with a laugh, but Christina couldn't bring herself to smile.

"But what about our house?" Christina asked, her voice cracking. "What about Dad?"

Daisy's smile dimmed, and she pulled Christina into a tight hug. "Your dad would want us to be happy, sweetheart," she whispered. "And John makes me happy. This is a chance for all of us to be together, to become a family."

Christina felt the warmth of her mom's embrace, but it didn't chase away the cold fear that had settled in her stomach. "But what if I don't fit in?" she murmured.

Daisy pulled back and looked at her with a reassuring smile. "You will, I promise. And if you ever need anything, just come to me or John. We're here for you."

Christina nodded, trying to force a smile. "Okay," she said, her voice shaky.

As they approached the Grey mansion, Christina couldn't help but feel like she was stepping into a fairy tale she hadn't asked to be a part of. The movers were already at work, carrying box after box inside. She watched as her childhood memories were carted away, her heart feeling heavier with every step she took.
