Maira felt better that her and James no longer had any issue with each other, actually James seemed to never have an issue with her. But, can you blame Maira for being sceptical? The two of them walked into the assembly hall, spotting Maira's friends and luckily they had saved seats for them, two at the end of the row. "Where were you two?" Erin asked when they walked over.

"He stepped on the back of my shoe." Maira nodded a head at James. "It's all fine now."

"You also talked to James for a very long time afterwards." Orla spoke up, it was hard to get these things past her, Orla was convinced that she was a eagle in a past life.

"It wasn't about anything bad." James replied.

"Aye." Maira agreed, hoping they would drop it, but Michelle wasn't having it.

"Can we have a wee word?" Michelle grabbed Maira's arm even before she had responded.

"Alright." Maira answered, getting dragged out her seat and nearer the back of the hall.

Michelle hit Maira in the arm. "What the fuck has gotten into you?!" She exclaimed.

"Watch yourself!" Maira argued back. "I'm all grand, what's with you?"

"You're being all friendly...with an English fella." Michelle pointed out.

Maira furrowed her brows at this, James wasn't ever English person in the country. "He's your cousin, Michelle."

"And?" Michelle raised both brows. "Have you forgotten what they've done?!"

"James hasn't done it himself!" Maira defended him, although she wasn't quite sure why.

Michelle couldn't believe what she was hearing, Maira had already been infected by James. "Defending the English?!"

Maira rolled her eyes at the statement. "Michelle, I just feel like you're being hard on him."

"Normally you don't give a fuck!" Michelle deflected what Maira said, the shorter girl knew that Michelle knew herself it wasn't right. "Just don't answer him if talks to you, he might make you become part of his side."

Maira let out a scoff. "Come off it!"

"It might happen." Michelle shrugged off. "It's in his blood."

"He's also got Irish in his blood." Maira reminded her friend, but the girl didn't seem to be in the mood to argue anymore, and if Maira was being honest, she didn't want to either. She had probably spent the most time with Michelle out of everyone in the group, and she didn't want to jeopardise that. The English fella will manage himself. "Fine, I'll try not talk to him."

Michelle smiled at her friend and the pair walked back to their seats, Maira opting to sit in Michelle's previous seat beside Erin rather than beside James. "Are you alright, Maira?" Clare asked her as she sat.
