"Papa." Louis' face perks up at the sound of Darcy calling out to him as she runs around while Harry chases her around the yard. "Daddy, noooooo!" She yells and bursts out in a fit of giggles when Harry catches her. She lets out an airy laugh when he starts tickling her.
Louis fondly stares at the two people he loves most in the world. He feels blessed when he thinks back on the last seven years.
Yes. Seven years ago he had fallen in love with someone through a television screen. Never in his wildest dreams could he think that the person he fell in love with, would actually love him back, but five years ago, his wildest dream became his reality. Five years ago he met the love of his life, and three years ago they got married and adopted the sweetest little girl. Two and a half years ago, he toured the world for nine months with his family and best friends as the four of them sang their hearts out and won two Grammys. And now... well now they are getting ready to welcome a set of twins to their family in four months - two boys. They're names will be Edward James and William Jonathan.
"Papa, when is Austin coming?" Darcy wants to know.
"I don't know my angel." Louis answers and watches as his baby girl pouts at his answer. "But I'll tell you what. If you come sit here and eat your fruit, I'll help you get on daddy's shoulders, then we'll go over to the wall and you can call him, yeah?" Louis bargains with a three year old.
Darcy agrees and gets on Louis lap, taking the fruit with her hand and shoving it in her mouth.
"Chew nicely baby." Louis says and watches as his little girl starts chewing at a slower pace.
Harry comes over with a bottle of water and places a sweet kiss on his husbands' lips. "You look hot, baby. Have some water." He hands the bottle to Louis and wiggles his eyebrows.
Louis takes the water and feels a paper attached to the bottle. He turns it and reads the cheeky little note: 'Ni & Li are taking D tonight. Get ready for some R&R. That's right... you... me and the hot tub baby ;)'
"I'm done Papa. Now we go call Austin." Darcy exclaims. Her voice laced with excitement.
"Yes baby, we'll go call him now." Louis says and picks her up before turning towards Harry. "Daddy, will you sit down, so I can help Darcy get on your shoulders." He says and watches as his husband sits down before he lifts Darcy a little so she can comfortably swing her legs over Harry's shoulders. "Hold on tight." He says and watches how she immediately reaches for Harry's hair.
"Ah, ah, ah." Harry is quick to stop her. "What did daddy tell you? Only Papa get to pull daddy's hair." Harry asks and answers his question while winking at his husband who starts blushing. After all these years, he loves how he is still able to get the younger boy to blush over the simplest of things. "Darcy gets to hold onto daddy's hands." He continues and lifts his hands, holding them out for his daughter to grab on to, which she eagerly does.
Louis can't stop the giggle escaping his mouth as he listens to Darcy calling Austin as they make their way over to the wall.
After their tour, Niall and Liam had adopted a little boy named Austin. He is six months older than Darcy, but the two of them are inseparable.
"AUSTIN!" She calls.
"DARCY!" Austin replies.
"AUSTIN!" She calls again.
"PAPA! DARCY!" Austin calls out to Niall.
"Baby, go to the gate, daddy's waiting there for you." They hear Niall say.
"I'M COMING DARCY!" Austin calls out and then they hear him running towards the gate that is a few metres to their right. They had the gate installed between their two properties so they don't have to go around on the outside of the yards for their daily visits.
Harry lifts her off of his shoulders and puts her down and she starts running when Liam opens the gate and Austin appears.
"DARCY!" Austin yells, opening his arms.
"AUSTIN!" Darcy pipes up and runs into them.
"I love that they're so close." Louis says while fondly looking at the two little ones wrapped up in each other's arms.
"How could they not be, baby? They have two Papa's that set the perfect example for them." Harry answers sweetly while taking his place behind his husband and wrapping his arms around his waist. "I love you, baby." He whispers next to Louis' ear, before kissing his cheek.
"I love you more, babe." Louis says before turning around to connect their lips.
"Oh break it up, would you. I thought I was gonna come over and you were gonna feed me! Not suck each other's faces." They hear their Irish friend say and they all burst out laughing.
"Yeah, yeah. The grill is ready. Let's go get the meat, Li." Harry says before pecking Louis lips and heading inside the house to get meat for their barbeque.
