he awoke with a sharp pain in his neck.
"yeaaaahhhhhh.... maybe that wasn't the best sleeping position but whatever."
Mara, while quite groggy, decided to make some notes down in his journal. As he started to contemplate what the date was, he realized just how long he had been down here. Checking his previous logs, Mara guessed it was somewhere around May 11th. He quietly wished himself a happy belated birthday and suddenly he remembered the reason he came. Mara had grown up in a normal city, tall buildings, diverse people, You know the works. However, Mara always had this wanderlust, and thirst for adventure. For years he had always wanted to explore the world, and "find out the secrets of the universe". In all honesty, Mara just wanted to explore, so for his birthday, Mara decided he would drag out his friend Tori, Who also had a lust for adventure, to this new dungeon Mara had heard about. Many people have rumours such as the torches were always lit, and that a monster wandered its plentiful halls or things like iron doors could be heard slamming shut. He assumed, incorrectly apparently, that these were just rumours. Just tall stories strung to keep children from getting lost in the halls. Although Mara had run into several skeletons, it was quite scary really. The worst of which was a child who you assumed did just that and was an unfortunate soul indeed. Mara realized he had only come here a day ago, for his birthday on May 10th and everything went to shit. He thought about his dad at home relaxing on the couch, unaware that any of this happened. As everything comes back to Him, Mara remembers the glimpse of the creature he saw before. He had to stop himself from screaming even with the unbearable pain. As soon as he calmed down Mara decided to leave his safe hole. He cracked his back as soon as he could fully stand.
*craaacck* "Ohh that felt good, that hole was too cramped but it did its job. The real question is where is that room with the ornate chair and fireplace?"
he gave Himself a chuckle before moving on, trying to tread quickly.
