Stepping inside the house I see my ma on the couch looking dead at me like I committed some type of crime.
"Where the hell were you at Zari," she said in a stern voice.
"I didn't want to be caught in the rain so I stayed at a store for a while, " I said rubbing my arm a bit
"You didn't bother calling or texting me that you were stuck and needed a lift? Just go to your room damn it! zari I raised you better than this," she said mumbling the last bit
"Yes ma'am, " I said heading to my room
In all due respect, I get why ma was mad at me but isn't it a bit childish? She doesn't trust me at all so I can't do anything until I'm out of this House I love my ma I do but she needs to cool it she's getting too protective of me and it's tiring but I know she means well so I ain't gonna dwell on the situation.
Fifteen minutes later
