━━━━ Althea Tiffany James. She was born with bad luck. Dad went and started a new family when she was 5. Mom was a workaholic. She was the only child before her bad luck turned terrible ⎯ and, subsequently her dad left. Before that, before all the bad, Her mom used to tell her she was their miracle child.
When she got older Althea began to question how could one treat their miracle child so terribly.
Althea was lucky she was blessed with her parent's brains. Passing through school as if it was nothing. She thought it would make her mom proud. Her mom didn't even bat an eye when the school told them Althea was skipping 4th grade. Or 7th. Or 9th.
Althea was proud when she graduated high school at 16 and got accepted into med school. Her mother could care less.
Although her mom did care when she got a call at 4 in the morning from Althea calling and crying, her mother ⎯ Tiffany, it was a thing to give your child your name as their middle name in the family ⎯ was tempted to hang up but what made her stop was Althea sobbing two words "I'm Pregnant."
