━━━Althea considered herself lucky in specific departments. She had a successful job and completed College before the age of 18, whilst also being a single and teenage mother.
One department she wasn't lucky in was dating. The only boyfriend she had was Tallulah's dad and well- today's not the day we talk about that. Before being a mother, boys were scared away by her brain or learning her true age, which she shouldn't be surprised about. She was always younger than her classmates. But, after having Tallulah it was no longer about her age, or how smart she was. It was more about her being a mother and men thinking she was dating for her to find a father for her child.
Which wasn't right. Althea knew her daughter wouldn't need a father. She had her Uncle Jackson- Who is like a dad, without being her dad.
Althea truly did get lonely, laying in bed by herself. Or, listening to her friends talk about dates they went on that night before, while she was busy playing Princess tea party with her 7-year-old daughter. Now, don't get her wrong she loves Tallulah. But , everyone needs a break. Which leads us to now.
"I mean, are you sure he knows I have a daughter?" Althea asked Reed as they walked down the hallway of the hospital
Some time had passed since April had been fired. Althea felt guilty for the longest time, but after talking with April she let the guilt go.
"Yes! And, plus he said you're milf." Reed said giving her tall friend a smirk
Althea laughed, "Ew, He's practically 3 years older than me. I shouldn't be classified as a milf."
Reed stopped and turned so she was standing in front of Althea, "Milf. Someone who has children and is sexy. When's the last time you got some?"
"7 years ago."
"Wait- As in Tally, seven years ago?"
"Yup!" They both stopped at the nurse's station, Althea filling out her charts for her patients and Reed taking a lollipop from the nurse's station.
"That's sad."
"Don't you have a job to do?" Althea asked walking away
"I actually have two jobs. Convincing you to go on the date and then my actual paying job." Reed said
Althea sighed, "Fine, I'll go on a date with Rando man #6. But, if he is anything like #5 I'm going to give you the silent treatment."
"Yes! and he won't." Reed said, Althea, shook her head and walked away, "How was I supposed to know he was married?"
