Every time Madhuvanti thinks of herself,  she feels she will never get the one for her.  But that was just speculation as her parents were quite supportive of her sexuality and helped her to embrace it.  She is just a junior in high school with only one friend.  So this is the life of Madhuvanti  Damodaran. She doesn't even know this junior year will be her turning point. Madhu went to school with her long-time best friend, Nathaniel a.k.a Nate. They helped each overcome too many obstacles during this tender age. Being a bisexual and a brown girl in school is not very easy for anyone in the USA. But if someone gets a friend like Nate, every obstacle is just a level in Video Games. 

“Hey, Friendoooo… How you doin’?”Nate howled. “ You are not Joey, Nate, why do you even try to do that?'' Madhu gave a bored expression. “Yeah yeah whatevah! So when are you going to ask ‘her’ out? Madhu woman up and ask her to the Homecoming… dont let me remind you, it is her last year in school, she is senior, don’t let your chance get ruined just because you are shy.” Nate gave her a speech which he gives almost everyday. 

So who is the “her”? She is none other than the Women’s Football team Captain, Reese Layla Harnandez, With an extremely sharp features she is the heartthrob of girls as well as boys. She is a Confident Lesbian and she is proud of her sexuality. And she is Madhu’s long-time crush. She has been crushing on from 8th grade and it’s been five years she is talking to her anonymously through her fake FB profile. 

Madhu was unlocking her locker when Reese made her entry in the hallway. People were looking at her and Madhu was gawking. But she quickly realised it's rude to stare thus, turned her gaze and continued fidgeting in her locker. Like a ghost Nate appeared and started teasing her, “ just look at her like a showpiece and one day that showpiece will come to you, and…. Moment of truth…. Will swing her middle finger and go. Just have some balls and ask her out girl. You even talk to her through FB” “ Fuck, Nate how do you know that??” “ Duh! I touch your phone all the time… remember” “You’re such a pain in my ass” And with that they went to their respective classes. Madhu and Reese were in the same HistoryAP class, and just like everyone’s dream to sit behind your crush, Madhu sits behind Reese and gawks. But she never says anything. Even in school she talks as little as possible. Why? She is just a quiet person. We always think of something , don’t we? Hehe.

During lunch Madhu and Nate were having their meal and suddenly a group of students came and started giving away the posters of “HOMECOMING” and Nate whispered to Madhu, “It’s time for my action…” “ really” “ Just wait and watch” and with style he asked out his long time crush Genelisa. 

“ So this is how you ask your date out” Nate flexed on his dating skills. “ I will ask her out ok! Tomorrow” Madhu gave a fake confident statement and with that their day ended.“Fuck what should I do ?? Let's just sleep today and tomorrow I will ask! What more will happen? She will reject me.. So what?” with that she went to sleep.

“Are you ready.. Maddy Baby'', Nate teased her. “Yeah” She nodded. They reached school. Madhu’s heart was thumping double gallons of blood than it normally does. But she kept her face like a stone. She went to her locker and again entered, Miss. Reese Hernandez. 

Madhu went to her , "Hey Reese… Ummm I wanted to…. Ummm " " you wanna say something? Say it…. Don't feel shy!" Reese giggled. " so You wanna hangout after school? In the milkshake place ?" "Sure… You are kinda very cute …."  Reese confidently complimented her. And here Madhu’s is nothing less than a tomato and was standing like a statue for more the 40 secs. And later went to her class. 

~ after school ~

"Hey let's go" Madhu said to Reese… "Oh shy girl... let's do this shit." They started walking. They reached the milkshake place and after they ordered their shakes and waited for their order. "So you wanna hangout like this?" Reese asked Madhu and she again became stiff… " huh!?" " I said you wanna hangout like this… ???" " umm … sure… like I guess… '' Madhu was clueless how to say this… but she likes Reese a lot…. But she is too shy to say this stuff openly… " So with whom are going to this… homecoming?''Reese asked without any previous context. " umm.. still not asked out or decided, '' Madhu replied. "Wanna come with me as my date?" This question by Reese … was something unexpected. She was planning on asking her and got the surprise herself. "Why not…. I WOULD LOVE TO." Madhu shrieked. "Umm… nice…" Reese was kinda shocked by her reaction but smiled at her innocence. They had milkshakes and went home. That night Madhu smiled like a maniac and stayed up all night like an INSOMNIAC. 

For 2 weeks Madhu is noticing Reese is giving her too much attention like the amount she would have felt uncomfortable if it wasn't her. Reese came to her table and had lunch with Nate, Genelisa and Madhu. The way Reese smiled at her, sometimes she thought she might lose her sanity. But controlled herself. 

2 days before the prom, they were returning from school and just outside Madhu’s house, Reese stopped and just without giving Madhu a hint she said, " Hey Madhu… I like u … a lot.. to be honest… I might have fallen for you… your smiles make me happy … you make me happy… Madhuvanti. I wanted to wait till The Homecoming but felt like .. I should say now." Madhu was speechless and ran towards her to give Reese a big hug. But fell down on the ground and whispered " I am sorry" but Reese is confident about what she wants." Too late big girl… " with that she attached her lips with Madhu’s and RAINBOW IN SKY WAS INVISIBLY PERCEIVED.

~IN THE HOMECOMING ~

It was the Homecoming.  But

 it was too special for the NEWEST COUPLE who are not just a couple for the Homecoming but a couple for life. With a dashing maroon pants suit and blazer Reese was attracting everybody but that's common as She was the MISS. CAPTAIN but her date, Miss. Damodaran became an eye candy with a contrasting Beige colour gown. They made the perfect Pair. Just after they made their entry, the slow song started and the they started dancing, and when they hugged each other, that felt like 'HOME'.
