"Are you insane?"

"Only a little bit."

I told Grey I didn't want to have to go to his house so he decided that he would be the one to go to mine. Before ending the call, he told me to stay up for him and around two o'clock he texted me to go out.

"I can't believe you made me stay up until 2 am just so we could go to school."

"You're really no fun."

I follow Grey as he walks towards the school building's front door. When he suddenly makes a left turn towards the other side of the building, I look at him questionably.

"I thought you were going to go all Tom Cruise and sneak in?"

Grey doesn't turn to look at me and he continues walking.

"Climbing over the school gate and avoiding the guards was tough enough. Besides, Mr. Hunter would tear us into pieces if he sees us lurking around the school hallways. I think he practically lives in the faculty room ever since his wife kicked him out."

I walk faster so I can catch up with him. When I reach his side I look up at him.

"But do we have to go this way?"

"Why not?"

The sound of a branch breaking causes me to jump and clutch my hand around Grey's forearm and I frantically look around in search of the source of that sound. Grey laughs at me and even though he probably can't see me well, I still glare up at him.

"Scaredy cat."

He laughs a little more before clearing his throat and pulls his hand out of my grip. He suddenly puts his arm around my shoulder and pulls me close to the side of his chest. I look up at him in surprise, but he doesn't look at me and continues walking forward. I'm glad that it's too dark for him to see the red on my cheeks.

When we reach the school field, Grey looks from left to right.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm trying to see if the guards are roaming around."

He looks around again for a second time.

"Okay, the coast is clear."

He removes his arm from around my shoulder and I try my best to hide the disappointment on my face. When he takes my hand I don't try to hide the goofy smile on my face. He stops when we reach the middle of the track field and remains silent. What is he thinking about?

Grey turns his head to face me and even though the field lights are off, I can still see the glint of mischief in his eyes. An evil smirk slowly forms on his lips and I raise my eyebrow at him. Without a single word, he lets go of my hand and walks forward with his arms spread.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the 2015 Track Meet!"

My eyes widen.

"What the hell are you doing? You're too loud." I hiss at him.

He chooses to ignore me. Grey faces the bleacher area and addresses the non-existent audience.

"Thank you all for coming! Let us cheer for the handsome, intellectual, and charming Grey Samuels!"

I roll my eyes at him, but that doesn't stop me from giggling.

"And shout cursive words and throw caramel flavored popcorn at his rival the ugly,-"

"Hey!"

"stupid, and ridiculous Ivy Mae Morrison! Witness Samuels destroy Morrison on the track field, making her cry and beg for him to let her see his god-given abs."
