Chapter 9- I Am Not 18 Years Old Boy

I have been wearing my hoodie two nights straight and I am annoyed that I need to put some concealer on the certain part that is exposed from my blouse when I am going to school. It was the second night when I was chilling with Suzie and Karen on the sofa that Suzie saw a little mark behind my ear that I myself was not really aware of until I went to check it myself.

"These might be the little mosquitoes " I said to them without showing any weird expression.

"Hey let's go out on Saturday ! It's been a long time since the three of us went out " Karen suggested as soon as she saw the movie trailer shown on the television.

"Sure, why not? " I told her while eating my kit kat ice cream.

"You don't work on Saturday ?"

"I work half a day, so we can go out in the afternoon around 2 p.m. "

"You don't work on Saturday ?" I asked Suzie.

She also works half a day on Saturday. She works as a financial consultant and it was somehow surprising since she was nothing near 'saving money'. Her father owned a business that she refused to take over, luckily she has her little brother to put the weight on.

"I have been thinking about this for quite some time now "she suddenly said.

"Thinking what ?"Karen asked her back without looking at her, her eyes focused on the show displayed on the television.

"I'm thinking of quitting my job "

"What?!" Karen and I shouted at once.

"You are not joking right ? You still remember how hard you study just to get this job so your father would stop pestering you with your family business. ?" I believed that she was just pulling our legs now.

"I am not in the mood to joke right now, but I am not going to quit now, maybe in June ?"

"Seriously zie ?"Karen asked her, almost cannot believe it.

"Yes. "

"Like really ?" I asked her again.

"Yes !"

That's wrapped up in a short conversation. None of us even bother to stop her when she's already made her decision. Even if she was quitting her job, she still has her family business to support her, well not like her other two friends.

"Believe me, she will be 30 more minutes. "Karen said to me with her annoying face.

It was not a new thing though, Suzie always late like most of the time- period. So we decided to go to the mall first and she told us that she will arrive there in around 10 minutes.

We ordered our food and Karen helped to order Suzie's food. We were sitting outside the restaurant taking in the outside view. It was rare for us to sit outside with the sun shining so bright above us and it was kinda hot outside. There were a lot of people walking around and something caught my eyes. I saw a man holding a little girl's hand. That was probably her daughter. They were walking together and the man took small steps so her daughter could catch up. Without realising it, I smiled at them.

"Wow, they looked very cute "Karen exclaimed as she looked in the direction I was looking.

'Yeah, so cute"

"I wonder when I will be getting married" she almost said to herself.

"Don't worry, you will be getting married soon. Just believe in yourself and give yourself a chance. " I said to her and took my glass to take a sip of my apple juice.
