"Ahhhh I already told you our friendship is done once the shoot ends!!"
A hamster-like cute, yet tiger-like fierce voice pierced Taehyung's ears. It was Jimin voicing out his frustrations and anger.
Uh-oh. He is super mad, isn't he?
Taehyung couldn't help but feel guilty after betraying Jimin spectacularly and ruthlessly in today's Run BTS' Hangul day event.
Right now, Jimin was scolding Taehyung about how hurt he was after Taehyung went to his room and tried to talk to him.
Taehyung sat on a chair while Jimin was lying on his bed.
"You trust others blindly. That's why you never win."
Even in such a situation he couldn't help but tease the angry little boy, who would have flipped out if he heard that nickname.
"Yes. You are right. Absolutely right. I will do as you say. Next time, I'm going to team up with others and kick your ass."
The angry lit-
The angry young man growled out his threat while glaring at Taehyung, who simply shrugged.
"And who is to say that the people you teamed up with won't stab you in the back like me? I think I just told you that you trust others blindly? Aren't you just going to commit the same mistake?"
Taehyung responded calmly with a bulletproof logic. Jimin winced at him.
"Ahhhh shut up! A traitor's words mean nothing, so stop talking to me."
He rolled around his bed in annoyance, wrapping himself up in the white blanket.
Completely covered, except his face.
"I seriously didn't doubt you at all. That's why I let you see my back...and you break my trust like it was nothing...."
He pulled his lips together into a pout.
"Hey now. You look like a cute little mochi."
Taehyung chuckled as he patted Jimin's head, making him pout even more.
"You're not taking me seriously at all, are you? Do you know how mad I am at you now?! Huh?! You seriously think I will let this go that easily huh?!"
He was yelling now.
"Okay okay, I am sorry. I shouldn't have betrayed you like that. I will buy you chicken for a month."
"Haah?! Look at you, so shamelessly trying to bribe me with food! Make it two months!"
"Fine."
Taehyung couldn't help but smile at Jimin for accepting his offer anyway.
"What are you grinning for huh? I still haven't forgiven you. You think the value of trust is something equivalent to three months of free chicken and pork?"
He glared at him as he stated that he hasn't let go of this matter yet. Completely acting oblivious to the additions to the free food list.
"I forgot to tell you that you look exceptionally handsome today."
"Don't get full of yourself! Flattery won't get you anywhere!"
Taehyung snickered and smiled.
"But, you know...putting your absolute faith in someone, is something only you can do."
"......."
"Innocence isn't a bad a thing at all, but naivety is. Don't worry, you will grow up with experience."
".....Experiences like this one?"
"Yeah."
Jimin unravelled himself from the blanket and grabbed Taehyung by his shoulders. Bringing his lips close to Taehyung's left ear, making him grow nervous, he softly whispered-
"You think I am that stupid, bastard?"
Taehyung started sweating buckets as Jimin glared at him with a look of "seriously?".
"Ahahaha..Jimin-ssi knows me so well."
"Obviously, who do you think I am?"
"Jimini-pabo"
[Jimin is an idiot.]
That snapped the last string of sanity of Jimin. What followed after was a stream of incomprehensible screams and swearing.
"YOU REALLY DIDN'T LEARN YOUR LESSON AFTER ALL!! GAAAH!!!-"
Like an angry hamster he threw pillows at Taehyung, who just couldn't stop laughing.
"Sorry sorry. Its just so fun to tease you."
He said while wiping his tears.
"But I really meant what I said earlier. Innocence like yours is something hard to find these days in people. So I am grateful you are here with me. As my friend."
Jimin finally went silent after all the thrashing from before.
"......Like I said, flattery won't get you anywhere."
Taehyung knew that he had already won after seeing him hesitate before answering. Satisfied by himself, he smiled brightly.
"Then, I will forgive you only if you promise me. Promise me that you won't pull off stuff like that again and buy me chicken, pork, beef and kimchi stew for three months."
"Fine."
Taehyung nodded, ignoring the elongated list and stood up straight, making Jimin stare at him with a confused look.
"Ahem"
Taehyung cleared his throat and curled his lips upwards to form a smile.
"Now promise me, oh, oh~
Several times a day, oh, oh~
That we won't break this trust, oh, oh~
No matter how tempting it is, oh oh~"Jimin's grumpy face started twitching as he stubbornly fought against the urge to smile. Taehyung brought out his pinky finger.
"The heck you mean by tempting?"
"Pinkie promise me~
Just promise me, oh, oh~"With the final lines of the song, Jimin gave up and broke into laughter and shook Taehyung's finger with his.
They stared into each other's eyes, smiling warmly. A promise between two friends is one of the sweetest things after all.
"Woow, your finger is sooo tiny."
Jimin smiled gently at him like an angel. Taehyung could swear he saw white wings sprouting from his back.
Jimin's other hand slowly crept towards the pillow and the very next second Taehyung's vision turned around 45 degrees left.
Ah, the wings were actually black, weren't they?
Although they made the promise, neither of them had any intention of keeping it. Some promises are made to be broken after all, right?
After all, Run BTS changes the full form of BTS from Bulletproof boy scouts to-
Betrayals and Traitors' Story. They will continue deceiving and tricking each other.
They will continue making up and laugh heartily.
For that, is the beauty of friendship that has lasted over 7 years.
