It was finally lunchtime so I made my way to the fountain in the schoolyard. Walking up I immediately noticed Sidney sitting on the fountain leaning against Billy and Tatum against Stu.

Billy was the first to notice me, he leaned up a little, licking his lips with a smirk.

Tatum sees me too and immediately jumps out of Stu's arms and into mine. Sidney leans up and closes her binder. "Hi, Amara."

I forced a smile but said nothing. I've been told in the past you could tell by my tone when I didn't like someone.

Tatum sits back down next to Stu and pulls me down beside her. I took out my container of fruit and fed her a strawberry.

"Fuck make out already." Stu groaned, his eyes screaming with excitement looking at us. Tatum laughs as a light blush hits her cheeks before she hits Stu in the chest. Billy kisses Sidney's cheek as he moves from behind her to sit next to me, he gives me a charming smile before taking grapes from my container.

"Thief," I shove him playfully only for him to respond by leaning in and popping more grapes into his mouth. Weirdly, he's being nice to me. We left on bad terms. Between his sudden interest in Sidney then the drama between my mom and dad. I thought leaving was the best choice of course I was wrong.

"They asked you if you like to hunt. Why?" Tatum asked, popping a grape into her mouth.

Stu leans up thinking for a moment before answering. "I'm not sure," he replies while taking a strawberry from my hand that I was gonna eat. "They just did."

"Is everyone eating my food now?" I mumbled, irritated, putting my arm over the container.

"That's because their bodies were gutted!" Randy yells jumping from behind the fountain, making me jump back into Billy. He grabs my waist and I stiffen feeling butterflies. I suddenly have the urge to run away from him but His hand tightens. "Oh my God, Mara! Your back?!" Randy questions excitedly confused.

I laugh before trying to move to get up and hug him, but Billy squeezes my waist hard, not letting me go. "Yeah she's back," he answers a little smugly.

Randy scratches the back of his neck as he hands Billy a brown bag that he snatches immediately. Randy then goes to sit at the edge of the fountain next to Stu. Billy digs in the bag pulling out a sandwich that I immediately snatched from him. "Stop being rude." I scold.

Billy raises an eyebrow at me, I just stick my tongue out back at him. He smiles then grabs the sandwich splitting it in half and giving me a piece.

"They didn't ask me if I like to hunt," Sidney says looking up from her binder and trying to go back to the conversation.

"Because there's no way a girl could have killed them," Stu says laughing like it was the biggest joke in the world.

"That is so sexist," Tatum snaps at Stu. "The killer could've been female. Basic instinct." She said as a fact.

I nod my head viciously as I finish my sandwich. "I agree with Tatum, with the right motivation a woman could easily kill a man." Tatum and Sidney nod their heads agreeing with me as the boys roll their eyes.

"My god having a period, that's enough to push any woman to murder," I say dead serious. The boys laugh as we give them serious looks not getting what's funny.

I gazed at the new sign posted at the entrance of the school stating curfew is now nine pm, I scoffed knowing no teen would listen to that.

"How do you gut someone?." Sidney says out of nowhere deep in thought. I assumed Billy would move away from me to comfort his girlfriend but when I looked up at him, he was already staring at me.
