Billy's POV

I couldn't believe my eyes looking at her but there she was sitting next to me, a smile so bright it could blind me. She was so captivating. When I saw her at Casey's house I couldn't believe she was back,

She wasn't the sweet shy girl that I knew before she left, I'm not sure what changed her or if it's my fault "Stop staring at me Billy," her eyes focused on the road but you could tell by her tone she was annoyed.

"Last time I checked that's not a crime," I lean back not taking my eyes off her, I'm at a loss the voice in my head keeps telling me to punish her for leaving me but since she's been back I've pushed that voice as far down as I could.

We finally pull up to Amara's house. It was still the same, I practically visited her mother every day since Amara left, I guess her mom became my parental figure.

Flashback~

'Just kill him.'

'He thinks your weak, let's turn around and give that piece of shit what he deserves.'

I'm almost completely out of breath as I run, not knowing where I'm going I just keep running. It wasn't until I stumbled upon her familiar street I knew where I was headed. My face aches as a new bruise appears adding to the many collections I was now keeping in my head. Bruise forty-nine and counting.

'It wouldn't be this way if you just slit his fucking throat.'

I ignored the voice in my head. Pretending as if it wasn't there like I always did. I knocked on the familiar door knowing she was not there but this was the only place I felt at peace.

I knock on the door hard and fast before stuffing my hands in my pockets to get my hands to stop shaking. Only a few moments go by before the door is opened. Her deep brown hair slid off her shoulders as she wrapped her arms around herself. She was a mature version of her daughter except with brown eyes instead of the hazel I grew to be obsessed with. She gives me a small smile before deeply frowning, I'm guessing she noticed my bruise. I wanted to say something... anything but before I could she pulled me into her warm arms.

"You are so strong," she whispers, cradling me as if I were her child. It should be my mom holding me. It should be my mom comforting me. I feel my anger spike. I clenched my fists so hard my nails sliced into the palm of my scar.

I pushed her away leaving the house. She calls my name but I don't turn back... it's better this way.

'You know what you have to do'

"I know what I have to do," I mumble repeating the voice whose laugh echoes in my head. That voice that's been in my head since that night.

My hands itched to kill again.

Amara shakes my shoulder bringing me out of my memory. "You okay?" I nod following her into the house with Stu. Amara leads us in throwing down her purse. "Where's your mom?" I ask.
