When Glacier lands on the cement floor of the garage, the sound of his feet hitting the ground echoes as if it were to flow through a valley separating two mountains. The ground where the delivery vehicle is parked is about two feet lower than the walkway he is standing on now to allow for supplies to be easily taken out of the tall van. Glacier pulls his weapon up to his face and aims it towards the corner of the van. He slowly rounds the edge of the vehicle before taking a quick step forward, seeing no hostiles hiding behind it. Now walking past the driver side of the car, Glacier sees the massive hole that exists where the garage door once stood. He also sees Thatcher's AR-33 on the ground near the entrance of the garage.
Glacier picks up Thatcher's rifle and looks around the empty room. The only sound that disrupts the silence is a small radio playing cheery music on the far side of the garage. Glacier pulls out the magazine and sees that it has been fully depleted. Glacier puts the AR-33 back on the ground and begins to search for the missing diffuser.
Glacier walks room by room looking for any sign of the rest of his team, but to no avail. However, when Glacier reaches the data center, he hears the sound of something rummaging around on the ground. Glacier turns around the corner quickly, holding his rifle at the ready. Luckily he doesn't need to fire his weapon. Thatcher, lying on the ground injured, begins to speak in a weak tone, "Behind you..."
Glacier turns to look behind him quickly but before he can draw his weapon, the buckshot of a shotgun hits his left leg. The force of the pellets hitting him knocks Glacier onto his back. Glacier listens to the sound of the shotgun shell hitting the cold floor, it rings with every bounce before going silent, being drowned out by the sound the weapon it was fired out of racking back to load another round. Glacier instinctively pulls out his sidearm to fight back against the powerful, though slow firing hostile. Glacier takes a few shots towards his enemy, letting the recoil take control of where his sights end up. After a moment, the opponent drops to the floor.
Glacier breathes in quick bursts before picking himself off the ground. When Glacier turns around he reaches his hand out for Thatcher to take, but his eyes are met with nothing in return. The stray pellets from the shotgun had hit his leg, taking him out of the mission. Glacier hesitates for a moment before searching Thatcher for the diffuser. He unhooks the device from Thatcher's belt loop and attaches it to his own. As Glacier exits the data center he turns around for a moment and gives Thatcher a small salute while saying, "Sorry mate." In a joking tone.
When Glacier returns to the objective room he kneels down behind a refrigerator near the doorway he entered. With incredible speed, he types the pass code for the diffuser's activation. His eyes shoot up and back down to the diffuser to make sure no one is sneaking up on him. Upon completing the code, the device begins to beep loudly, signaling that the diffusion process has begun.
Glacier takes a few steps back to keep an eye on the diffuser from a distance. The process of diffusing a bomb takes 45 seconds in total, meaning the enemies may have a chance to destroy the device before it can complete its task.
Glacier decides to toss his drone on the ground and use it for surveillance. The drone's wheels rumble across the floor and into the room the diffuser is located. As it turns to the door that leads into the room, a gunshot rings in Glacier's ears. Glacier jolts and drops the phone he was using to control the drone. In the process of grabbing his phone, Glacier drops to one knee behind a nearby wall. He checks his surroundings quickly before looking down at his phone screen, nothing but static.
Glacier holds his rifle tight. Before he turns the corner looking into the objective room, he swaps his weapon to his left hand to allow him to round the corner better. As Glacier takes a step into the room, a bullet burrows into the stone wall beside him, followed by many more soon after. Glacier ducks back for cover and cowers from the multitude of projectiles colliding with the wall next to him. Though difficult, Glacier can hear voices from the other side of the wall speaking, "Get the device, I'll cover you."
