Dream's POV
"Dream. Get the fuck up. We need to grab as much supplies as we can and then take George and Patches to the basement and stay there for a bit."
I open my eyes to see Sapnap's dark brown ones looking right back at me. I check my phone to see what time it is and see a notification backing up what Sapnap is saying.
This is insane. What is going on? Why aren't they telling us anything?
"You grab the supplies and I will carry George and Patches down the stairs." Sapnap quickly nods before he runs off to the kitchen to grab food and water. I try not to think about what is going on.
George's legs are still on top of me so I push them off of me and I scoop him up and carry him bridal style.
He is surprisingly light and he smells like vanilla that can make anyplace feel cozy. He mumbles something that I can't make out but other than that he doesn't seem like he would be waking up anytime soon. The basement was the fifth door down the hall and the furthest.
I can't open the door while holding George like this so I throw him over my right shoulder and open the door with my left hand.
"Dream. Put me down." I almost jumped at George's morning voice. It is deeper and more serious than normal.
"I can't Georgie. Go back to sleep." Right as I finish my words George kicks me in the chest. "What the hell, Gogy!" I start to walk down the stairs as I ignore George's constant whines to put him down and kicks whenever I don't respond.
Knowing George he would freak out if he knew what is happening. I throw him onto the bed in the basement and snatch his phone out of his hoodie pocket without him noticing. "Go back to bed."
Sapnap left a whole pile of supplies right outside of the basement door so I grab as much as I can and carry it down in multiple trips. Right as I put the last case of water down, Sapnap runs down the stairs locking the basement door behind him.
"That should keep us good for a while."
"Sapnap. Why are we down here?"
"There's some real bad weather coming so we have to stay down here to be safe. Nothing to worry about George." I hope George can't tell that Sapnap is lying straight through his teeth. George is smart. Once he wakes up properly he is gonna know this is a lot of supplies for a storm.
"Where's my phone?" I take a deep inhale as George says that. I feel his phone get heavier in my pocket with the guilt I have for taking it.
Even though it is very dark in here, I can see George's disappointed look as he guesses that I took it. "Dream. Gimme my phone." His sickly sweet tone makes me feel sick. I look to Sapnap for some help, but just shakes his head and continues to scroll through his phone.
"George, let's not jump to conclusions."
"I'm not jumping to anything. You took my phone and I'm simply asking for it back." He cross his arms while he speaks.
Should I give him his phone? How is he gonna react whenever he finds out we lied to him. George won't be mad, right? I hate to lie to him but I don't want to keep this from him. I love him and I'm doing this so he doesn't act irrationally.
I don't even get to make a decision since George throws himself at me, grabs his phone out of my back pocket and hides somewhere. I have no idea how he moved so quickly and quietly without me noticing him sneaking up on me.
"Georgeeee." I whisper his name dragging out the e. I can hear his breathing from behind our supply pile. I tiptoe over to him expecting him to be curled into a ball trying to blend in, but instead he is standing up looking at me with his light caramel colored eyes.
"You both lied to me."
