Chapter 4, Initiation

Chapter 4

During the "race" (although you don't think you could call it that), you and Kaminari had a great time together and came in third place. You even combined your water quirk with his electrification to make a big dangerous tornado of water and electricity do defeat the giant robots! You dubbed it 'lightning tornado' and were extremely proud of it, maybe a little too proud. Running through the rain together with his hand in yours, laughing and making jokes together, it really felt like where you belong.

You run with him as fast as can until you get to the end where Aizawa and some of the other students are. You both collapse on the grass as you get to the end, and then you realise that he is on top of you, and blush at the sight. You see his hands are on the ground next to your shoulders, you see his pure golden eyes just how you saw them when you first met him, and you see him blushing a little. He gets closer and closer to you until you feel like you're going to kiss. Your heart flutters, and then-

 "Hey Kami, get over here my phone died again!" 

Denki gets up off the ground and goes to the blond haired guy, Bakugou, the one that was yelling at everyone earlier.

You get up from the damp ground and figure that you should go and join them, so you do exactly that and see Bakugo, Kirishima, Mina, and Sero. Denki was talking about his classmates earlier so you know almost everyone's names. "You and Denki were so awesome in the race!" said Kirishima, that red haired guy who could make himself rock hard. "You must be so strong and manly to move all that water!"

"It really isn't that hard, but thanks I guess" you shrug, trying to seem casual about what actually took years of training.

"I like your hero costume" said Mina, the pink, alien-looking girl "I had a really pretty idea for mine but I needed to be able to move quickly so I made this jumpsuit instead"

"You look really good in it though!" you reassure her and then see her face light up with a smile.

"Welcome to the bakusquad" announced Sero, who then proceeded to do finger guns and give you a quirky smile.

You look over to Denki and Bakugo bantering about something, and then you hear Bakugo say "don't call me that, dumb face!"

"Kachaan, Kachaaaan!" Denki continues, teasing him.

You hear a boom sound and see a flash of red and orange, accompanied by a small explosion and then a little burn mark on Denki's arm. "Oh don't worry, he does that a lot" Kirishima chimed in, seeing your concerned expression.

You don't know who to feel bad for in this situation, but then a few seconds later everyone is chanting "Kachaan, Kachaan, Kachaan!" in a playful voice. You joined them, and soon enough everyone was running from bakugou, laughing. You felt slightly bad for him, but when you looked back you saw a big murderous grin on his face, you changed your mind. He sure does love fighting, you think to yourself.

You and Denki used your new 'lightning tornado' move and everyone was amazed, and this turned into a chaotic battle among friends in the woods.

Bakugo starts charging after Denki, so you grab his arm and run as fast as you can into the woods. You are both chased by him for about ten minutes before you stop to catch your breath, "damn, he can really run" you say.

"Yeah he normally gets to me by now when we tease him like that" he says, sounding impressed but still panting from everything you've been doing, "I can't believe you can outrun him so easily".

 You notice that he's taking off his shirt, which is probably drenched in sweat. You pretend not to acknowledge it or care, but every time you look at him now you just feel a whole new excitement. He messed up his hair in the process of taking his shirt off, making it look all scruffy and feral.

 Feeling exhilarated from hanging out with the 'bakusquad', mesmerised by how hot he looks when he's wet from the rain and tired and shirtless, and delighted that Denki was impressed by you, you realise that you want something more with him- more than friends, and now might be your only chance to get it.
