" Today was amazing!~ I total would do so more if Usagiyama-sensei allows it!" Mina told, opening a straw pocket and stabbing into her smoothie. Then taking a nice long sip.
" Y-yeah, today was cool...!" Midoriya copied what she said, poking the smoothie with a visible sollen mood.
The two just finished their fair share of patrol hours. Though, it wasn't a graceful experience. Being their first time patrolling, many criminals had gotten, more Ashido than Midoriya. Yet, Mirko was there to recover from the mistakes. Also, she gave encouraging advice. " Fail again and you'll be sparring with me for five hours straight!".
Not to be expected, they made more mistakes along the way, but fewer than the first half. At the end of it, she shrugged it off, not being serious about it. However, she wouldn't be lenient next time.
The troubling questions still stayed with Midoriya. He stared at his smoothie with a pensive expression. The words came up when he thought of the first villain fight. " more like he's weak in combat". If he truly was weak, would that be saying he is too?
Mirko does her ways of words. Something like that would mean " If he ain't up to my strength, he's good for nothing.". Nonetheless, he couldn't help but think of it in a bad way. The comparison made him feel pathetic. And in the end, what if he didn't improve to her standards? He could feel it now. Chagrin overwhelming him.
" Heyyyy!! Stop playing with your smoothie! You spent good money on that!". She bonked him on the head sternly, popping him from his thoughts. He held his head and looked at her.
" w-what's the matter M-mina..?"
" The matter is you're not drinking your smoothie! Drink it before I do!" She placed her hands on her hips and huffed.
Midoriya, through all his mental hardships, cracked a smile and chuckled low. He took the straw and took a sip. His face had filled with new energy. It wasn't a preferred amount but it was something.
He let out a pleased 'Ahh...' before saying," Delectable."
" Debecable?"
"C-close, it's Delectable"
She titled her head and scratched her head, it's easy to forget mina isn't the brightest one. Even though she's a bright person. Does that make sense?
" I-It's mean Delicious..."
She flashed a color, other than pink. " Ohhhh!," she was saying for one moment, then it changed to another confused tone. " why didn't you just say that if it means that?".
Midoriya isn't exactly sure how to answer. Everyone, mostly everyone, uses words that are entirely necessary to use. Something about using those words added some... Flair. Or they simply have a bigger vocabulary.
Scratching his neck, He then let out," I-i guess I like b-big words...". Mina pulled out her hands and started counting. One. Two... 10, 11, 13.
Without bothering her, he watched her. Wanting to seed what was she doing and what is she counting. If he had to take a guess, it was probably- " But they have nearly the same amount of letters!"
That.
Midoriya sighed and finished up his smoothie. He got up, Mina's perplexed eyes locked onto him. Going to her and patting her on the head. " Y-you'll understand later."
Mina, realizing what is happening, blushed lilac.
Taking his hand away, throwing away the cup, He walked in slow motion waiting for her.
Jumping out her seat, she skips over to her horned best friend and carried on after him. It was only a matter of time before the internship is over with.
I finished. Sorta. I just wanted to give y'all a chapter of any length before I work on my more original story, which you can find on my second account LoveBitingWaifus
