It was the last of my internships. On the previous day, Izuku had seen the news about the horde of villains that stormed Hosu. The incident left many casualties. Death, injured, and loss of quirk.

Loss of quirk. This sat inside his mind like a broken record, repeating the same part. How could someone just lose their quirk? The answer to his question came in many ways. But had chosen one as the deciding answer: someone has a quirk to permanently erase quirks.

It wasn't something he wanted to say or believe. Which he didn't fully. It was a simple hypothesis out of many others that he's taking into consideration. Even then, the thought of losing his quirk frightened him endlessly.

What was worse than that is the death of his classmate. Iida Tenya had gone into a bout with Hero killer: Stain. He was trying to save pro-hero Native, who was at Stain's hands. The hero act only ended up in himself getting killed. Yet, it didn't add up to Izuku. If Iida had tried to save Native, why would stain kill him?

Mirko nudged Izuku, making him recoil slightly and making eye contact with her. A classic grin of hers rests on her face. " Hey, what's with the daydreaming today?"

" O-oh, it's nothing! J-just got a lot on my mind..." He blurted, more like a habit rather than him being scared. The rabbit hero gave him a short nod, her ears flopping down a bit. " I'd be surprised if you didn't have a lot on your mind. Especially after the last two days you suffered.".

She put a playful tone on the word "suffer". Though, suffering should've been put on a serious note. Mirko had sensed that Izuku was having troubles. It made him wonder if she was an empath. Nevertheless, Mirko quickly put him to work, immediately working on his insecurities and body. Those two days were two miserable days. But he learned what he needed and promised to keep practicing them. Just two days of hard labor wasn't gonna cut it, of course.

" I-is my pain a-amusing to you?" Izuku questioned with a slightly indignant tone. The Bunny hero didn't hesitate to be so blunt. " Yes.". Izuku glanced at her, then putting his eyes back center. She would've had said but she was in hero mode.

A couple of meters down from them, a van stops. The two in the front seats hop out. One goes to the back, opening the doors and letting the rest come out. All of them are dressed in black with masks. What a great day to rob a bank? And what a great to be stopped by the one only Mirko! And her temporary sidekick.

" Alright Fanboy, Let's get this show on the road!" She grinned, cracking her knuckles. The anticipation of putting an end to these criminals was firing her up. It was at first the opposite for Izuku but he thought of the training and what Mirko has told him before they started patrolling.

" Listen, kid, I don't care what happens out there. You can make as many mistakes as you want, I won't bat an eye. As long as you learned from your mistakes, I will always be proud of ya."

Clenching his fist, He followed Mirko's lead as she led them to defeat another batch of criminals.

~~~
Mirko tossed the last one with the rest of their tied-up pals. Izuku, on the other hand, took care of making sure that all the civilians weren't hurt in any way. Fortunately, their little heist didn't get far and no one was injured. On the bright side, Midoriya earned recognition from the civilians. Thankful, but he did end up blushing from being the center of attention.
Later, with the criminal being taken away and the bank opening back again, It was the last of the patrol as the final hour come by. Bags were packed and a walk to the train station was made. The final goodbyes were filled with jokes and usual but gifting praises and advice. The train arrived and the two loaded on. The internships had come to an end.
Sunset light beamed soothingly, flickering as it shined through the train's windows and doors. Ashido continued her one-sided bantering while Midoriya listened and engaged kindly. A yawn escaped her mouth. Involuntary, her head rested on Midoriya's shoulder, making him flinch. But his nerves settled as he saw the pinky's eyes close. Ashido's seemingly endless energy has finally come to a stop. And it let Midoriya think. What would be the next step to ready his goals?
Wanting to get his thoughts sorted, he too couldn't fight off his exhaustion. Slipping into his dreams, his head lay upon Ashido's. Hopefully, they don't miss their stop.
