"No"

"Jax, what do you mean no!" I say angrily.

The car doesn't move, the whole world is moving but nothing in motion. A sudden silence hits, not a comfortable silence. One that was loud, a loud bursting silence. It was painful to listen to, chills shiver down my spin and I flitch at myself. I don't raise my voice, Jax knows this. God, I'm a douche. I see him flinch and hold his own hand to stop from shaking. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Jax. I want to say the words but I don't move.

"I-I- was just saying no, let them have your phone, they'll know we're after them. It's worth the risk." He quiets his voice.

I glace at Ayzell and see her intense stare on me. I haven't moved, I haven't said a word. I'm a coward.

"We need to keep moving forward," I say sternly only looking at Ayzell. The Met wants a show, we will give it to them.

"We're going to get arrested you idiot," Dimitri snaps back at me.

I don't like him, we should've let that train run right over his ass.

"So be it," I mumble.

"To Brighton!" Ayzell says loudly interrupting the awkward atmosphere.

I sit in silence doing nothing but thinking. I can't look at Jax, although this was only minor I hate hurting him. I know that's petty, how could I hurt such a cute face? It's all your fault Ryker, you got him in trouble in the Met. It's your fault he got struck by Dimitri.

*******Flashback*******

"Ryker, quick, you need to hide!" Jax called out as we were playing a game.

"But why, you won't be safe!"

"I'll be fine, just listen to me."

"No, I'm not letting you get in trouble because of me."

"Please Ryker, I'm only trying to protect you."

"Fine," I wander back into the room hiding under a blanket with only a small peep of light. "Who were you talking to young Jax Anderson?" Dimtri stands tall above him, although he looked as if he'd only been 15. Such a young soldier....

"No one sir, I was just...playing."

"By yourself?"

Dimitri reaches for his whip on his belt, he pulls it out quickly. I do my best not to gasp. He'd done nothing wrong, I shouldn't have been in his room. Dimitri raises his whip and strikes him hard. I'm not sure how long this went on. I couldn't watch.

Dimitri leaves, with a devilish grin, "If I ever find out what you're hiding, I'm taking you to President Hudson myself."
