This chapter will be switching point of views! (Jax's P.O.V. second half)
(Ryker's point of view)
"Jax, you're completely torped!"
"What the hell does that mean?"
"It means a man who is desperately in love with a woman but cannot admit his feeling or approach her. You Love Ayzell, don't you? Why don't you start acting like it, okay? Just a heads up before she breaks your sad little heart."
I walk over to the bed agitated if Ayzell is his girlfriend, he sure better start acting like a boyfriend. He never does anything too cuddly with her, and if he does, he's hardly the one to make the first move.
"Shut up Ryker just-"
"Hey, hey. No need to get all agitated, what's going on...?"
"No, Ryker, I AM agitated. I've tried to forget you. I-I-I..." He stutters.
My eyes seem to sadden, feeling bad. I didn't realize it'd be a sensitive subject.
"Jax, just forget it, okay? It's alright."
I stand up from the bed, walking over to him to put my arm around his shoulder and walk back to bed with him. He follows me, taking deep inhales and exhales.
"I can't..." He finally says after five minutes.
"You can't what Jax?" I ask curiously.
"I can't keep pretending. I like you, Ryker, I have for a while now. I thought maybe if I date someone, my feelings will go away. They did, then I saw you again. Standing in front of the door, the loop started all over again."
"Don't get me wrong, Ryker. I love Ayzell. The first couple of weeks were great, then we developed, I was so happy to find her."
"That makes sense, but why would you date her if you're you know?"
"Gay?" He asks.
"Exactly."
"Well, I'm not. In a way, I am, I'm bisexual."
"Oh, I didn't-"
"No, it's okay. Not many people do. The people that adopted me know, they're very accepting."
"That's good, and I'm glad you have that. So what're you going to do?"
"I don't know. My mind is a total wreck. I just need some time."
"I understand, take your time. It'll all work out sooner or later."
"Thanks, Ryker, you're so understanding. I can always talk to you."
"I'm glad to hear that."
He turns and smiles at me, and I smile back. Unexpectedly, he pulls me into a big bear hug.
Then, that's when we hear the knock. The all too expected blow, "Can I come in?" I hear Ayzell ask from outside.
(We are now switching to Jax's point of view.)
No, not now Ayzell. This was all my brain could think, what if she heard me and Ryker talking? Of course, that's why she's here. God, I did not even think about the stupid paper-thin hotel walls
"I'll come out to you," I say loudly, then glance back at Ryker to make sure it's okay. He gives me a small nod, so I gather my confidence and take it out with me to the hallway.
"Hey," Ayzell says small, crossing her arms with her sweater pulled over her hands.
She looked sad, crying sad. But she'd never let me truly see that. People only show you the parts of them that they want you to see. It's terrifying you'll never know anyone truly.
