Mark P.O.V.

I exited the school after a while. The yard now filled with students who were in afternoon classes. They stayed from 2pm. I should change to afternoon classes instead of morning so I wouldn't wake up early in the morning and most important I wouldn't see those bastards...But in other hand I wouldn't see my friends.

My aunt's car was already there. I walked to the other side and knocked on the window.

''Mark, what took you so long? I was starting to get worried.'' She asked as I entered.

''Nothing...just talk to someone.''

She eyed me for a while ''Are you ok, Mark.''

I looked at her. ''Yes, why?.''

''You look a bit upset.''

''No, I'm really fine...just tired.''

''Alright, Where's your friend? I can drive her home?.''

''She went to the mall.''

''Oh, ok then let's go.'' She started the car and drove home.

Once we arrived, we entered and I slid my backpack off my shoulder and let it fall to the ground. I sit in the couch and turned the television on.

''Are you hungry?'' She asked.

''Uh...no. Not now, aunt. Thanks. I replied while going through the channels.

''I'll prepare something when you're hungry ok?'' she said as she pulled out some ingredients from the bags.

My aunt has took good care of me these last months. She always prepared the food, helped me with paying my school and other services of the house. But sometimes I thought it bothered her to do all that. I mean, I'm not her son. She has a family and she has to take care of my cousin too. I don't want to be a bother...

Anyway, I was grateful that she decided to take care of me since the day. The day my parents abandoned me...

I never knew where my parents now and went. I never knew what happened to them since the day. Maybe they escaped after my father thought he had to kill me. Maybe they went to different country.

I didn't know. Nor I wanted to.

''Aunt, I can do it by myself. Don't bother.''

She made a confused face. '' Do what?''

''The food...I can cook to myself,''

She smiled and laughed a little. ''Last time you said that you almost set the kitchen on fire. Remember?''

I let a nervous laughed a little. and placed my hand on my nape. ''Well...that was because.....''

''And also you almost cut your finger off because you didn't hold the knife tight.''

I looked at my index finger to see a little scars there. Although barely visible now.

''Also remember when you burn you hand with the hot soup! Oh My God, you cried a lot.''

''ok, ok I remember.'' I said stopping her from mentioning other embarrassing moments. ''It's just that I'm beginning in this world of cooking.''

''See? That's because I have to prepare it.''

''At least I can help you?''

''Of course.'' She smiled and we walked to the kitchen. '' And I can teach you some basic like: How to use the stove, how to hold a knife properly...''

She continued with the very basic things and I just rolled my eyes.

After helping her, I grabbed a bowl and a large spoon, which I used to pour the vegetable soup we prepared.
