Chest compressed, emotions numb
Always blaming herself for being so dumb
She always heard "You're useless, get out of my sight ... Shoo!!
Trust me, if it wasn't a sin, we would've already gotten rid of you"She tried her best everyday
No matter what it was, she would always obey
They finally were able to break her down
Killing her happiness and letting her old self drownPeople wanted and tried so hard to help her
Which did nothing but cause more problems to occur
She realized she was leaning on them too much
She realized they worsened it with nothing but a touchShe slowly distanced herself away from them all
Protecting the only alive part of her with a wall
Knowing that no one, even the slyest, could break through
And leaving marks on herself that were more permanent than a tattooThen one abnormal day, she found someone new
He made a few promises that she felt were somehow true
She noticed how her wall started to crack and break
Yet around other people it wouldn't even shakeHe was a mystery she tried to figure out
Out of frustration, she would scream and shout
She hated how he could break in so easily and steal pieces of her heart
Her stomach tightening at the thought of his departShe slowly let him in, making sure to watch him all the time
And everyday, slowly but surely, made her words rhyme
She let him past her wall, scared he would run away
"I've seen it all. Now I will never leave" he would say
