Gohan and I were training like usual at the mountain he stays at. I wonder why he doesn't just stay with Chi-chi and Ox-king? They're both really kind people, and Chi-chi isn't exactly opposed to him training anymore.
"Alright Y/n, give it a shot." Gohan instructed.
I nodded and cupped my hands by my side, as the blue orb formed between them.
"Kamehameha!" I shouted, and blew a hole through the rock he chose as a target.
"Awesome, you got it first try!" He congratulated me with a prideful grin.
"Thanks Gohan, it's all because of what a great mentor you are!" Gohan laughed and rubbed his neck.
"I dunno about that. You're plenty talented you know. Someday you'll be better than I ever was." He said.
"No way, you're the strongest guy I know!" We laughed and noticed the sun setting.
"Y/n, you should start heading home now. Bulma'll get worried if you're late." He said, unrolling a sleeping bag.
Again, why doesn't he stay with Chi-chi? I nodded and flew off, enjoying the sunset as I did. Until it was ruined by a boot planting itself in my back, dropping me all the way through a building and making a crater.
I groaned and sat up only for a boot to push me back down, resting on my chest. My eyes widened in fear and worry as I stared up at my blonde attacker.
"What's a kid like you doing out this late Y/n?" She asked sarcastically.
"Dammit, what the hell do you want!?" I asked.
"No need to yell. I want to make you stronger." She stated, pressing down with her foot.
"Oh, don't try that raising your energy thing to call Gohan. It'll just get you both killed." She continued.
"Why the hell would you want that!?"
"What the hell did I tell you about yelling? If you yell in my face again I'll tear out your tongue. I want to make you stronger so that 17 and I can have a proper challenge. That way we can have a fun little double date if you will."
"How do you know I won't kill you two when I'm strong enough? Where is 17 anyway?" I asked, trying to push her foot off.
"17 is studying for his license to keep himself busy. I don't care if you kill me when you're strong enough. I don't have a purpose or anything to do so it'd just solve my boredom." She answered.
"This isn't something you can say no to, so don't even bother. I'll see you....here, after Gohan and whoever you live with go to sleep." She said, flying off.
I got up, and cursed under my breath. I flew home and went to my room after dinner. I couldn't get any sleep that night, not wanting morning to come as it would lead to the next night.
I heard the birds chirping outside my room so I got up anyway, and threw on some clothes. I made mom and I breakfast. She came down, grabbed her food, and went straight to working on the time machine.
I finished eating, and went to go train with Gohan, feeling anxious about the coming sundown. During training Gohan even noticed it and stopped me.
"Y/n, you okay? You seem worried about something." He said.
"Yeah, it's just...it's been a while since the androids have attacked. Makes me wonder when they come back, and why. Or worse, they don't and the reason was worse than them." I lied.
"Hey, don't overthink it too much. As long as you're getting stronger we'll beat them eventually." He said, putting his hand on my shoulder with a grin.
Sunset came again, and Gohan went to sleep as I headed home. I noticed 18 standing on a building, and she waved at me as I passed. I grit my teeth, and saw mom was asleep already. I let out a sigh, and walked outside.
I flew to where 18 said, and landed. She arrived not long after with a tray of PlanetCoin coffee. She held the tray out to me, and I glared.
"What? It's just a coffee. I wouldn't go out of my way to poison you when I could just kill you. Besides, I wouldn't even know where to get any." She said.
I grabbed the one towards me, and she grabbed the other one. I took a sip, and tasted caramel. She groaned at hers and tossed it behind her.
"Dammit, screwed up my latte. How's yours?" She asked.
"Why are you doing this?" She sighed and sat on a car's hood.
"Trying to keep you cooperative so I don't have to make this a hassle for both of us. Besides, this'll bring you and Gohan closer to your oh so precious peace." She said, voice dripping with sarcasm.
"You didn't have to buy me a caramel latte and you know it. We both know that you're too strong for me to do anything that would even slightly provoke you." I said.
She crossed her legs, and leaned back.
"Would you believe me if I said I want you to be happy?" She said.
"No." I responded.
"Good, because if you said yes your sanity would be too absent for me to try anymore."
She hopped off the car, and punched her palm.
"Okay, that's enough talking. Let's get started."
