Chapter 1

"Morning hair ball." Spat Shinsou as the pair made their way to school.

"Ah, and good day to you, oh eternal bad hair day." Yumi said in a sarcastic tone.

The pair had no choice but to walk to school together, being neighbors and all. Shinsou would try to ruffle her hair to piss her off and she would slap his hand with her tail. They glared at each as they made their way to campus. It didn't help that they were in the same class either. They simply sighed as they had to keep walking with each other to the class. The last time they ran to get away from each other people mistook them as friends, so now they gave up on competitions to not give people the wrong impression.

As soon as they got to their class they went their separate ways to their desks. Yumi sat close to Ochako and began her gossip of the day.

"Oh my god, Shinsou is so fricking annoying!!!"

"What happened today?" Asked Uraraka, knowing this was a daily occurence.

"He kept ruffling my hair and when he saw a stray cat he had the nerve to ask if that was my uncle!" Ochako couldn't hold a giggle from the remark. Okay it was kind of cleber, but still!

"I'm sorry, I mean you two have been fighting for so long Yumi don't you think you'll ever get along?"

".....Nope! He and I are like cats and dogs. Total opposites."

"Well you know what they say, opposites attract!" Said Mina as she snuck into the conversation. Yumi couldn't help but blush at the remark, her cheeks pink and flushed.

"N-nope! Not gonna happen! I refuse to have old hurrican hair over there as a mate." The girls giggled as the bell rang for them to take their seats. Aizawa sensei walked in and began his lecture.

When class was mostly done Aizawa sensei had a final announcement. "Class before you start running when the bell rings I have permission slips for a field trip coming up. You better give this to your parents because I don't have extras."

The class passed them around so everyone could grab one. The field trip was for an outdoors de-escalation class. It's teaching soon to be pro heroes on how to calm down a situation that otherwise could lead to disaster. Yumi smiled at the idea. Bakugo could definitely use this class. Yumi laughed at the thought as she put the permission slip in her bag. As soon as the bell rang she ran out of the class, not wanting to walk home with Shinsou.

"Yeah right, the hurrican hair as a mate don't make me laugh. I could get a hairball just looking at him, and I can't even make a hairball!" She said as she walked home.
