*Flashback 3 years ago*
I'm getting the jitters. First day in high school. Can you believe it? Middle school flows fast! One minute I was that drama acting kid, and now I'm a Freshman...a slightly weird Freshman with pimples...welp, gotta prepare myself now before I'm late.
Though I wanna sleep...I've been up all night watching this horror movie about a student getting killed in her school the moment she walked in. I can't believe how dense the protagonist was, everything was red in the hallway and there's no one there. If that's not the first signs of someone getting killed, I don't know what is.
Anyway, I pick 2 outfits from my wardrobe. I ask Franky what to wear by placing the option on the bed. But he doesn't react, he just stares at me with sleepy eyes.
Recently, my cat been out of touch and it's making me worry. But maybe it's just his old years catching up, he is 13 years old anyway and according to the internet, he's already 68 years old in human years!
So I try to be patient with him and just selected option no 2 instead. Just a very long black hoodie and pants, it's very comfy and I'm not really trying to stand out...I'm not really one to like drawing attention. Being called a freak would be the most I'd probably get from others.
After showering, getting dressed, eating my cereal, feeding Frankenstein his cat food, I head out to school.

I finally found my high school, and entered the building. Everything looks normal except that...it's so...red here; The lockers are red, the decorations are also red, and the doors and stairs are so red. It's kinda intimidating. And it's really quiet? Where is everyone? What if someone gets killed here? The blood won't be as visible as it needs to be, and this may be the perfect location for a murder!
...
Time to transfer to another school, this is the first sign of a potential horror story and I don't want any part of it!
Turning to my heels, my feet started speed walking to the exit when I suddenly bumped into someone!
"Ouch! Watch it, you-!" the person yells and whirls to me with firing blazing eyes. It's a girl! And she's, no doubt, the murderer!
My anxiety has shoot up to its limit, fight or flight has responded, and I'm acting our of pure fear at this point! "GAH! NOT TODAY MS KILLER!!" I screamed and hit her head with my backpack.
"Hey! OW! You-!" The girl suddenly caught both my hands and slammed me against the lockers, making me immobile in the process. "What's up with you?!" she screams at me, we're just the same height and yet I feel so small and helpless. All I could do now is hope she won't kill me.
"Please don't kill me! I have a child at home and he's 68 years old, he needs me!" I whimpered back, pleading for my life. The girl's grip on my hands had soften and the angry fire in her eyes has vanished.
"What...? You're new, aren't you?" her voice has changed as well, from shouting to a softer yet deadpanned one. Oh, she's not a murderer! And she is just a student in a normal school that coincidentally have the same red color as the movie I watched last night! Phew, thank God!
"Y-yes, ma'am...I-I'm sorry...last night, I watched this horror movie and then-"
"Geez, I don't care, man. You're forgiven." she then lets go of my hands and stepped away. Bewildered, I rubbed my hands soothingly from her vice grip. "Really? That easy?"
"You want me to take it back?"
"N-no! I'm just surprised, that's all..."
We stood in awkward silent for a bit...where is everyone anyway? I was going to ask her until she abruptly reached out a hand and muttered a gruff reply, avoiding my direction. "The name's Mikayla. You?"
