YOU CAN'T LEAVE

Y/n's pov.

Its been a month and the only improvement Harry has shown is the healing of wounds. He still can't breath on his own and is on ventilator. Niall took Hope to the park while I was sitting beside harry when doctor came in.

"Excuse me Miss y/n. May I have a word?" He asked

"Sure" I nodded and went out with him.

"Ma'am, Harry's been here for about a month now on ventilator and if we keep it long it will affect his lungs." He said, I felt tears in my eyes

"W-what does that mean?" I asked.

"We were thinking is we could remove the ventilator and see if he can breath on his own or not." He said

"But if he doesn't, he'll die" I said

"He's merely alive. But if he makes out after being on ventilator for a long time, I am afraid his lungs will fail"he said

"Can't we do anything?" I asked

"Sorry y/n. You can let me know your decision by evening" he said and left.

I went inside and hugged Harry. My face dug in his chest. I wanted him to respond and hold me tight.

"You know they say that if you don't breath on your own you'll die. I don't believe them Harry. I still believe in us. You just can't leave your family, your daughter here like this. I won't let you go hazz. You are my strong man and you have to fight this and be with us. We need you Harry. I want you to respond when they bring down the ventilator. I can't be here alone knowing that you will never come back" I cried in the hug when I heard the door opening.

"Y/n" Niall said and I rushed to him and hugged him.

"What happened? Why  are you crying so much?"she asked worriedly

"They said t-that they are putting the v-ventilator down today. A-and if he doesn't breath on his own he won't make it" I cried and Niall hugged me again.

"I am so sorry y/n. But we need to stay positive" Niall said.

"Daddy wake now. Why so long nap siwwy"we heard Hope say to Harry as she sat beside him. More tears came out of my eyes. I hugged her

After some time the doctor came in.

"I am ready to bring down the ventilator" I said with much difficulty

"You've made the right decision miss y/n. We wish you and your boyfriend luck. I'll call my team" he said and left the room.

I fell in the floor and cried my heart out. Niall hugged me from behind.

"Mommy daddy gonna be fine"Hope said wiping my tears.

I kissed her her hand "I know. He's a strong dad of a strong daughter" I said.

"Y/n we are here. Okay?" Niall said and I nodded

I got up from the floor and went to Harry.

"I want you back Harry. You have to make it" I said and kissed his forehead.

Soon the doctor was in the room with his team.

"Only y/n can stay here. I'd want others to wait outside please" he said.

I looked at Hope and Niall. Gave them a hug.

"It's gonna be fine" he whispered to me

"I hope" I whispered back and he took Hope outside

"Okay so ventilator out on the 3rd count." He said and I waited at the corner with my fingers crossed. I've never left the fear of losing someone more than now.

"1.....2....and 3....."he said they put the ventilator down and Harry didn't move a bit. I rushed to him and hugged him

"NO NO NO NO HARRY BABY YOU CAN'T DO THIS" I said when I felt his gasping for breath. I quickly looked at him and he was trying to open his eyes.

"Doctor" I said and they rushed to see.

"Wow. He made it" they said and happy tears rolled down my eyes.

Harry was trying to adjust his eyes to the brightness. He flicked them a bit before opening. As soon as my eyes met hai I fell in his arms and he struggled but hugged me back.

"I wanna sit"he said and I helped him to sit on the bed.

"I am so glad you made it" I hugged him again he hugged back

"What happened to me?" He asked.

"What's the last thing you remember?" I asked.

"We had an argument yesterday , I went out and met with an accident" he said looking at me.

"That was one month ago Harry. You were in coma" I said as tears rolled down my eyes and he cupped my face.

"And you are crying for me? The man who slept with someone else. You stayed in hospital for me?" He asked looking in my eyes.

"Don't ever leave Harry" I said and hugged her.

Harry's pov.

As the doctors put me down for first I couldn't breath and then I felt some weight in my chest. I woman crying. I wanted to wake up and see, I tried to but couldn't. I suddenly choked on air.

"Doctor" I heard a female voice. Doctor said something I couldn't make out.

I woke up after sometime and saw y/n. She had eye bags and looked like she didn't eat and sleep well in past few days. She had been crying, her eyes were red. She made me sit in the bed and hugged me, I hugged her back. She held me so tight like she wouldn't let me go.

What happened to me?" I asked.

"What's the last thing you remember?" She asked.

"We had an argument yesterday , I went out and met with an accident" I said looking at her

"That was one month ago Harry. You were in coma" She said as tears rolled down her eyes and i cupped her face.

"And you are crying for me? The man who slept with someone else. You stayed in hospital for me?" I asked looking in her eyes.

"Don't ever leave Harry" she said and hugged me.

"I won't. Ever. I promise" I hugged her back and she cried her heart out. I held her tight against my chest after sometime she broke the hug.

"Hope and Niall are outside" she said.

"Niall? He's here?"I asked.

"He had been here since your accident. I couldn't keep Hope here so for 1 day Louis looked after her and Niall came the next day" she said.

"Ok. And I am really sorry for whatever I said that day."I said and she came closer.

"Let's start new. I love you Harry Styles" she looked at me and I pulled her closer and brushed my lips against hers.

"I love you too y/n" I said with tears in my eyes. She cupped my face and wiped my tears. "Don't cry. I'll call them" she said walking outside.
