The chamber was reeking with incense. The gloomily painted walls were decorated with various unknowns symbols and pictures. The stained windows were covered with black curtains restricting the sunlight into the room. Narrow shelves with stacked books were visibly covered in dust.
In the middle of the dimly lit room, there was a low table with a crystal ball on a golden stand. The young girl was about to touch the crystal when the bead curtain rattled and a lady in her late sixties appeared.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you.", the witch said startling the girl.
"Is it ready?", the girl enquired. The witch nodded her head and took a vial, handing it over to the girl.
" Are you sure this is gonna work? I don't believe in these kinds of things.", she asked curiously.
Calmly the witch leaned back on her chair. " I did what I could do. Are you sure he is not involved in any sort of romantic relationships?"
" Yes, I don't see him with anyone who could be special.", she said examining the red liquid in the vial.
" You don't see...that doesn't mean....it's not there.", the lady smirked at the girl. " My payment?"
The girl slammed some bills on the table not taking her eyes of the potion. " Better this work."
Khaofang was so acquainted with everyone praising her beauty. Numerous people from all genders have confessed and got rudely rejected by her. Whenever asked, her answer would be the same. She is waiting for the one who would match with her standards. That's when she met the second year senior, the campus moon, Kongpob during their first hazing event. Nevertheless to say she immediately fell head over heels for the boy.
From the day onwards, she kept approaching the prim and proper senior only to be left unnoticed. But she was not someone to back off easily. She doubled her efforts, joining the study groups lead by the senior, learning his likes and dislikes, call her a stalker, she wouldn't mind. As she wondered how such a Prince Charming could still stay single, she asked the dreaded question one day, weather he has a girlfriend or not. The reply was for her own liking. The senior smiled bashfully while answering a no, with a sprinkle of crimson on his cheeks, making her poor hear beat furiously.
Each and every approaches were either ignored or rejected. She wondered if the senior is truly oblivious or playing hard to get. Last thread of her patience was broken when he rejected her request for a dinner together, and she was left to take the drastic step, her last resort.
Her cousin once mentioned about an old witch who could brew love potions. It's prohibited in the campus, but what could she do? It's getting really frustrating. Once she got hold of the potion, she administered it through his ice coffee she bought him as a token of gratitude, and it worked!
She did feel like there is something wrong with her P. His food habits, routines, actions,....everything changed. It's like she is dating a whole new person. She pacified herself thinking it might be the side effects of the potion, but she can adjust with it as long as Kongpob is with her.
Due to college fest and freshy games next week, their classes got cancelled today. Now she is waiting for Kongpob at the mall for their first date. She asked him to meet at 11 in the morning, and it's almost 12 and her P is no where to be seen. She huffed and sat on the nearby bench ignoring all the curious glances.
Khaofang came to her feet, a brilliant smile planted on her face, when she saw Kongpob who briskly walked and stood next to her, and apologized for being late.
"Sorry Khaofang, I overslept.", he said panting a bit.
" It's alright P'Kong. It's almost noon. Are you hungry?", Kongpob eagerly nodded to her question.
