Denki watched as you left the main area, your head facing away from him. Mina got up and ran after you. no one else seemed to notice you both disappear.
"Is something wrong Kaminari?" Jiro asked. All other students have already gone back to doing their own activities, leaving the couple to themselves. His eyes still lingered towards the corner you turned.
"Ahhh it's nothing. Just thinking about homework." he laughed, trying to play off the weird moment. "Somethings up. Your pea-size brain would never think about homework."
The music girl narrowed her eyes, looking at Denki who nervously shifted around in his seat. The couple stared at each other for a minute straight, neither one willing to look away.
how am i supposed to tell her that i want to go check up on y/n? denki thought. He had been ignoring you, but didn't know how to apologize without it seeming forced.
"Is it l/n?" she asked. A nasty frown formed on her face. She knew they both had chemistry, and yet still managed to take Denki away. Now that she had him, it didn't make her feel better. In all honesty, she felt like dog crap.
"W-well she was acting strange and i wanted to go check on her." he awkwardly laughed. not only was this awkward for him, he probably made it even more awkward to jiro for thinking about another girl.
The purple-haired girl sighed, she knew you and denki had chemistry. It was clear as day to anyone who saw you two together. "go on. check on her."
"huh? but why jiro-"
"shut up and just go with her." jiro spoke. She got up from her seat next to denki, leaving the male by himself. Denki, being the airhead he is, did not see the way Jiro sulked at the mention of you, nor the way she clenched her first hard enough to cause crescent moon marks to appear.
I should stay with jiro but-. but? why was he trying to find a way to go to you. staying with his girlfriend should be his priority, not going to comfort another girl...right?

"Why couldn't i be her?" you cried, lungs burning with every ounce of air you pushed out. Mina sat with you, rubbing soft circles into your back. In one of the few times in her life, the space girl didn't know what to say.
"d-did i do something wrong? was i not pretty enough? funny enough? i thought i was the person he could rely on..." you sniffled. the energy to cry anymore left your body. Mina looked down at you, wiping away your tears as new ones took their place.
"Y/n there was nothing wrong with you. Love is a complicated thing and their never really is an answer to everything it brings with it." she spoke. her usual cherry voice was toned down, giving her a more big-sister type vibe.
