chap 11

Tatia

I woke up the next day to the sound of the door being opened, the sun was already shining through the golden colored curtains in my room which means that I have slept in today, as I usually wake up before the sun rise.

The intruder in my room is Sara, she came in holding a tray filled with French toast and cut up fruits. The smell made my mouth water

"Good morning Tatia, I hope you slept well" Sara said sitting next to me on the bed and placing the tray in front of me "I brought you your breakfast so you don't skip it like everyday"

"Thank you Sara, but that's too much food" I said sitting up

I feel bad for having access to such delicious food while most people in the kingdom can't afford it, but I was too hungry to save food, so I ate everything on the tray

Sara left and I started getting ready for the day. I need to find out what happened to the market and who did it, and most importantly why.

I called Barns and told him to arrange an emergency meeting with the council to discuss what happened. I wasted no time and started the meeting once everyone was present

"Good morning, I am sure you all heard about what happened to the market, and you probably know it wasn't by accident-"

My speech was interrupted by someone opening the door and entering without permission, why am I not surprised.

I resisted the urge to roll my eyes when Archer came in

"Who said you can barge into my meetings whenever you could, King archer" I said

"When this meeting involves me, I have the right to be a part in it" he said taking a seat

"Who said it involves your highness?" I said looking him up and down

"The supplies that I provided were burnt, and I have the right to know who did it" he said looking at every member of the council as if suspecting that one of them could have done it

"Anyways, as I was saying, this fire was done by someone, someone set the market on fire, which was full of food and different products that has just arrived not long before the fire, which means that someone is trying to make sure that Terradwa stays as it is and isn't happy with the progress that's happening" I remained silent for a moment letting the information sink in their minds, and observed their reactions.

"Who do you think could have done such a horrible thing, your majesty?" Caira one of the members said

"I have no idea Caira, but don't worry, we'll find out who and he or she will be punished accordingly." I said reassuringly "but we all need to work and cooperate together to find out who."

"Do you think it's one of us, dragons?" Kevin the oldest member said

"There is a high possibility it is, as the only non-dragon in this kingdom is King Archer, and I am sure he will not burn his own things"

"Why are you so sure queen, I have a feeling that he would. He's a vampire so why would he want our kingdom to become better, so he sent the food so he could fulfill his part of the deal but then h-" Stewart was saying but I cut him off

"Enough Stewart. I will not allow you to disrespect me or King Archer like that" I said in anger glaring at him

"It's okay Queen Tatia, as long as we know, everyone is a suspect" Archer said looking at Stewart while sitting back in his chair and crossing his arms looking at Stewart how a predator would look at his prey

"But he was the last one to leave the market, which means that he set the fire" Stewart said glaring at Archer

My eyes widened at what Stewart just said, and I quickly ended the meeting to discuss this new information privately away from any traitor's ears
