Charlie pov
"you make me happy when sky's are grey." I stood next to my sisters door as my dad sang quietly to her.
"Please don't take my sunshine away"
"Daddy, aren't the stars pretty?"
My dad had told me the story behind both our names so I knew what that would mean to him.
"Yes. They are beautiful tonight"
"Night Zozo"
"Night Daddy"
9 days later
"P-Percy's dead, Annabeth"
I heard my mom fall to the ground. "No. Leo please tell me you're joking." My mom begged.
"I'm so sorry Annie" My uncle Leo said. "Mom?" I asked coming around the corner.
My mom was sitting on the ground, crying while Leo crouched next to her. "Hey buddy" Leo said. "How much of that did you hear?" Leo asked.
"Dads not coming back right?" I asked. Mom let out a sob then looked up at me. "Come here, Charlie" She said. I walked over to her and sat down.
"You know that your dad went out with Grover to find a new demigod last week." I nodded.
"They were attacked Grover, and the girl made it to camp but he was hurt. He died this morning" Leo explained.
I had to stay strong. For my mom. For my friends and for my sister. Zoe. "you know Zoe won't completely understand." I said. Mom nodded. "Do you want me to tell her?" I asked. My mom shook her head. "This is something i have to do" She said.
I nodded. "Annie, you know all of us are always here for you and the kids right?" He asked. She nodded and gave him a small smile before giving him a hug. After that he left and we walked upstairs to Zoe's room.
We walked in and sat down. "Hey, baby" Mom said. "I'm not a baby. I'm seven" Zoe said, putting down her doll and running over to me. I picked her up and sat her in my lap, facing our mom. "Mommy, When is daddy coming back?" Zoe asked.
Tears began to fall down my moms cheeks again. "He's not, baby. He's seeing some old friends." "Why did he leave?" She asked. "He didn't want to. He loved you both so much." She put a hand on each of our cheeks.
"Char?" Zoe asked, looking up at me.
"Yeah Zo?" I asked.
"Why is mommy crying?"
I looked up at my mom. "Because she misses daddy" I told her. "Why can't daddy come home." "Mom will explain it to you someday okay?" "Okay"
The next day my alarm woke me up but I was skipping school today. I got up and walked into the bathroom. I studied myself in that mirror. All my dads friends say I look just like him. I was as tall as my mom too.
Later that night Zoe asked me to sing her the sunshine song but I told her I couldn't sing it like daddy. In truth it would be to hard not to let the tears fall
The next day was quiet just like the previous. Until Nightfall.
"Mommy can you sing the sunshine song like daddy does?" Zoe asked. I froze in my spot and watched my mom tense up. Tears began to stream down her face as the pitcher of orange juice she was holding smashed against the wall.
Zoe ran to my open arms and buried her head in the crook of neck as Mom punched the wall again and again. She slumped to the floor with her head in her hands.
I set her down in the chair and walked over to my mom. I put my hands on her shoulders and she looked up at me. "Mom you need to keep it together. For camp. For me and Zoe... And for dad." She started crying again. This time silently.
I nodded my head and Zoe came over and gave her a hug. "You are my sunshine. My only sunshine" I heard my mom whisper. Just like dad.

Headcannon One Shots
FantasySo this is just a book where I'll put a head cannon(mostly PJO or HOO) up in the top and then make a one shot out of it. Any characters you know are not mine they are whoever the author is. Most likely Rick Riordan
